Bring back Earth and Beyond.

This is a request for information and hopefully a discussion topic. I heard that down in Beaumont TX an internet provider is going to charge for bandwidth use for access to the internet. The reason that was cited was that 5% of the users use 50% of the available bandwicth, further citing that online gaming and video file transfers were the major consumers.

If this is actually the case what does the future hold for online games in general? Anyone with some actual facts I would welcome your input.

Bring back Earth and Beyond.

Thanks, my search didn't bring that one up. I was pretty certain that there as a discussion on this already I just couldn't find it.

You have to be the change you wish to see in the world.

This is true, the Test is being done by Time warner. This would only apply to new customers. I believe this story was covered by G4 tv and there is an article on Digg.

I'm just glad i don't have time warner, I personally don't wanna pay acording to how much bandwidth I use
