You assert that because KFR has not put any 18th members on the cross, that they have not done anything wrong EVER... yet in the next sentence you claim to have undertaken internal action against cheaters? have 18th cheated or not? make your mind up.

I am not pointing the finger at anyone, I am stating that 18th members have cheated and exploited but none have ever been punished. as you have so eloquently reiterated for me.

I've always accepted that I was banned due to my own actions, I just believe that I was banned unjustly.

No, I did NOT assert that, nor did I say it or imply it.  What I DID say was that no 18th member was on a cross because none did anything that justified it.

Wait a minute...wtf?  Here we are in the RV forum of MMORPG.COM, and I am responding to a guy who:

- is banned from the game,

- dropped 2500 posts of useless crap in the RV forums, and has just continued it here,

- isn't welcome in the RV community,

- doesn't play RV,

- was a complete joke as a player, to include such  stupid crap as the airborne legion in a 2nd Century historical game,

- still hangs out in the mIRC channel for RomaVictor on a daily basis, and trolls the RomaVictor forums of MMORPG.COM, months after being banned,

- and whose only "friends" from RV have all of the above in common.

I'll be happy to chat about in-game issues with people who are actually part of the RV community, or answer questions about the game from those who are not familiar with the game but are genuinely interested.

You wasted enough of the RV community's time as a player (as well as that of the devs and the mods), and here you are trying to keep wasting people's time as a banned player.

I'm not banned from the #romavictor IRC channel, I go there because it's good company, and most people talk about stuff other than RV as well, add to that that they're a great bunch of people and you have the reason for that. As for being on these forums, I have a right to be here, and I don't think I troll excessively, compared to...say, Vepgenus of your very own 18th legion? I do still care for this game, If it continues getting better I might start playing again. If you want to tell someone off for trolling here, flame shane instead.

So, let me recap. Just because a minority of people don't actually like me and want me struck from the record doesn't mean I'm going away,  I joined the RV community in january 2004 and I will continue to stick by it. The fact that the KFR doesn't like me, since the dev or the game do not make the community, the community makes the community. Just because some of them don't have a sense of humour doesn't mean it doesn't need a bit of comic relief.

Then again, we all know you just posted this to detract from the fact that my argument is valid and therefore that you are wrong. You have a history of doing this on the RV forums too.

I've always liked Phil and ExZ in game, and considering they both seem to be hacker geeks they probably could have done a lot worse than what they got banned for.

The fork bug? Come on, no one should have gotten any more than a rollback and crucifixion for that.

I think you are mistaken on what was going on. I wasnt doing it to try to win an argument. I was doing it because I get close to someone in RV to kill them and they suicided as I got there. I reported this on mIRC. That person then said "No they didnt they drown"
So I look into the logs to show that either they were exploiting or they were lying.

As you could see I didnt do it to win it I did it to find out how the guy knew I was close enough to attack him or why he was exploiting the /suicide command. With him lying it shows that he was exploiting it.

It was not a case of a couple people trying to avoid using the patcher for convenience. People were CHEATING. Of course they say they didn't.
It is amazing to me that people who secretly obtained a test client they knew damn well they weren't supposed to have, and secretly used it, knowing damn well they were not allowed to, will sit here and try to justify their actions, all the while claiming they never used it to cheat. And some of them were previously punished for cheating.

I found out from the people that reported that they believe I was using a 3rd party program to look into this log and get this data and was using it as an exploit.

As you can see I wasnt nor did KFR really believe that or Im sure I would have been punished for that also. Thats why I believe the first few emails are stated like they are. He was trying to find out if I was exploiting.

 I didn't speculate, The 18th do exploit, If I need something to back me up I'll ask the rest of the RV community. they can cry foul all they like but they won't get past the simple fact that they always have, and always will.

You keep talking about it only makes you look more wrong.  So let it go get over it from just reading and me being on the outside you were banned for a good reason. I dont when many people tell me and post asking for the devs to change their view, I dont think they feel the same way you do.

Im sure there are many people that talk bad about me, but having someone say something bad about you doesnt change the facts that somethings they say are not true. As people are saying Ive exploited and other things. Which I havnt. I wanted to clear my name which is why I posted this thread. About playing RV, sure I would like to play again but not without my name.

Probably the only reason DDT was banned was because there was solid evidence and witnesses to the fact that he shared test client logs with the public.  The developers did not want to ban him, but they had no choice, it was public knowledge that he had broken the rules.  There was no sweeping this one under the rug...

One question everyone should consider, is how did a banned player transfer most his game assets, even those held in the center of the main Roman town of Corstopitum to fellow freeman Liam?

The fucking Jackals come out from underneath the beds, dont they DDT? Everything is nice and neat until KFR screws you, then they jump on you and start tearing. Thats okay though - you can just get another account down the road.

Sorry to hear about your problems. KFR forgets who kept the game alive when approx. 20 people played it at once. Or who posted time and time again various constructive things on the forums. Or who stayed with the game before it was even released, believing in a dream.

It seems you were banned for a reason you stated. I dont play Roma Victor, but i have read some what about it. Seems to have a very very small player community, and an even smaller dev team. Truthfully, even if you are right, does it really matter? Im kinda shocked people are argueing over a small game such as this. I'll give you one thing tho. You sure show true dedication. But one thing i do have to say is this, what does people being in jail have to do with you being banned from an online game? Were you locked up in an 8x8 inch cell with no window, and a community toilet and small bed your punishment? There is a difference between you voicing your opinion on a forums board and what a jailer can voice. The difference is, YOU HAVE THE INTERNET, he has a crummy public defender. So weres this similarity? Dont get me wrong, i understand you want people to hear your side of the story. But who are these people, and couldnt you of told these small amount of people who play this game, by email, or private PM on this board.

All in all, was it worth the dedication you spent on making the post in the first place? Somehow i doubt it was, then again, maybe it would be better to try out this game before i make anymore judgements. Goodluck with whatever, and in the words of the wise, relax, its just a GAME.

Its not about the game at this point its about my rep. People thought I got banned for exploiting or cheating, which I didnt.

All I wanted to do is make it clear that I wasnt.

Anyways its over, I dont play anymore, very unlikely I will ever play again and I doubt it will be fixed enough to be a true MMO thats playable before something else comes out that tops it.

I wish them the best and I think they have great ideas but I dont think they have the man power to get it done.
