Is there a MMO out there that have mounts that fight with you like real warhorses did? I would like to have a mount that rears and plunges and bites while you are riding it into combat. Is there one. Also which MMOs have no level limit on mounts and gear like UO? Which MMOs have ships that are sail-able like UO with better graphics?

If WoW added mounted combat and naval combat, I'd go back in a heartbeat.

SWG used to have fighting mounts (once you jumped off them) but that hasn't been true for a very long time.

They never had mounted combat where the mount participated in the combat (you could use basic attacks from a mount, but we all know how dangerous that is against any serious competition).

you could order your mount to attack and jump on it b4 it reached the enemy in swg :) .... was a little bit tricky and u had to be fast but in the end u could be riding your mount while it was fighting ..... a long time ago

Lineage II also has fighting mounts but only the mount can attack while riding. To use your player fighting skills you have to dismount at which time you can have the mount fight along side of you.

Or do you mean something more profound?

I mean the reason heavy cavalry can be so formidable is not really because of the rearing and biting, but because of the bulk and speed.  I mean the pointy sticks are important yes, but it doesn't matter if they miss you with their pointy sticks getting a face full of a 1000 pound animal going at 30 mph is rather painful and tends to mess up infantry formations.

So are you asking for a pet that is also a mount or are you asking for more realistic mounted combat? Because they are really not at all the same.

If its the latter AoC may have something like that, hard to say until we rally see it in action.

I don't think any game has all those things, and I don't know of a game with fighting mounts (or even mounted combat).

I always wondered why most MMORPGs decline to do this.  I believe its because they have implemented mounts as ancillary minor travel powers rather than as their own real features.

I don't know of any that are out, but The Chronicles of Spellborn is supposed to eventually have mounted combat (not on release), although they won't be horses, it will be flying I think.  TCoS is also making armor only for looks, so you could have whatever armor you wanted at any time.  Mounts on the other hand, i have no idea because they don't even have them planned for release so there isn't much info on them...

Well, the Korean grinder mmo Metin 2 has mounted combat. You might give that a whirl.
