After another night of being bored, I decided to shift through the screenshots on the site, and I came across a set of Ryzom pics (but I didnt know that),  none were titled...I loved the art direction and the odd character+armor...so I decided to do some digging and I found my way to the Ryzom site.

    After reading on here and such I decide to give this game another try (I played it in beta way back when for like 10min...was addicted to wow back then */shrug* so never gave it a real chance.) Even with the chance the servers would be shut off I decided to give the trial a go and see where it leads.

    After a few days on the trial I have to say this is a nice refreshing game, I find myself playing this game more and more. Im hopeing to get off the trial island when my box copy arives (seems this is the only way to get a real account other than buying one off someone with one) and explore the full world.

Guess long story short, thanks to whoever posted the screenshots lol.

PS: You can order the box off of www.GoGamer.com still; if anyone else is looking for a place to buy it for cheap.

Yeah a big turn on so far is the community, and this is one of a few MMOs you can say community and mean it. Seems like everyone knows each other and the willingness of the vets to help the new players is outstanding.

Do they even monitor Universe still? Seems like people just use it to chat it up, but not in a bad way, seems  like this game and community can pull off a global channel as being a positive plus.

Are you saying that it is still possible to create a new account that can go to mainland? I thought it wasn't possible anymore to upgrade to full account since october last year ...

I'm in a similar situation. I also played this game back in beta, but, yeh WoW, you know :). I recently started playing a bit on the trial and liked it. But I stopped when I heard there was no way for new players to get off trial isle (according to a post on the official forums). If someone can confirm it is still possible to play the full game if you buy the box at gogamer.com, I'll be happy to buy it to play this great game.

You can use the key on the box to enable your account for the mainland. The keys act as prepaid 30-day accounts (prepaid as in paid long ago to the company that owned Ryzom when boxes were being made), but since there's no one to pay now, active accounts are free, so the 30-day key account automatically attains indefinite longevity.

Yup, as stated above the box codes do work....if your on the trial just ask in /u and they will confirm it as well ^^.

Still liking the game and if anyone wants to hook up, my ING is Sabeir, and im on the English server. (forgot to put that in my OP)

so it's still impossible to create a new account?

Like we said before, if you buy the box you get a code, you use the code to make your trial account a full account.

I just did it myself, it works, if you want to play the game you have to buy the box.

Assume that anyone willing to buy the box has spend some time on  Silan island and knows some bits about the background and the state of Ryzom.
