I have noticed that many of us talk about graphics, gameplay and the overall popularity of this game. There is unfortunately one area no one seems to notice, the music. Hopefully I'm not the only one who thinks this game has a fantastic soundtrack.

What do you all think about the music in PoTBS?

I'm curious

Not only a yes, but in the running for best game soundtrack of all time. Seriously. It's up there with Return to Zork.

Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt

The soundtrack is amazing and the CD is the best part of the pre-order box for me :) An hour of great music!

Do some of the songs play only for certain factions?

I have heard about 50% of them because I played as France and Pirate. The others are new to me.

If so the French one gets stuck in my head. La laaaa la la la la

Personally I love the music. Especially the (way to short) little tune where you choose server (or character, I forget)

But gererally I think the music is great, I would love a few more tunes though seem I know them all by heart

Track 37!

Also can be heard upon entering San Juan, as it's the Spanish Capital Theme.

Music is a very important part of the games I play, especially mmorpgs.  Ever since Everquest , I've always listened to the music.

PotBS has very good pieces.  Overall it is one the better soundtracks, but I don't think it ranks up there with Jeremy Soule's music.  If the music fits with the game and helps set the mood and create immersion, it can only make the game better.  This soundtrack for PotBS does that.

Well Jeremy Soule is on a different level than everyone else. He did Oblivion and Morrowind of course.

I keep getting tracks 15 and 19 stuck in my head. Some of the Spanish ones too.

The trumpets they have recording these songs are beasts, they sounds great on all of the tracks.
