I'm a 24 ranger and i'm having difficulties staying alive. I just got to the 2nd planet first map, plains i think. Stalkers kill me 50% of the time before i kill em and i often just die for having too much stuff on me. I used to do just fine before this map.

What should i do about this? Grind a few levels so it's easier? Reroll a commando (from lvl 1 forgot to clone)?

The only Stalker in Plains if i recall is the Stalker Overlord, which is a boss, that's understandable.

But if you mean Striders, those are hard to kill even for a commando, just use rage 5, get a good EMP rifle and take cover when you see a big green glow or a red beam...

Or just avoid them

As a ranger your advantage is the stealth armor, you should have it maxed for staying alive. Also btw,  dont run in a frikkin big groups of bane and just shotgun them down, that's commandos job

I would not recommend you Grinding until level 30, before it just takes too LONG (i mean VERY LONG) you should have alot of missions anyways.

I'm here to kick ass and chew bubble gum. And I'm all out of ass. Because I kicked so much of it earlier.

Ya i did mean strider. Thought stealth armor only improved stealth, does it actually add armor?

Why of course, every set of armor adds .. armor but it varies, example Medic on level 30 can have about 4000 armour value, but a grenadier on that level may have 13000 (i dont know if the number is right, it may vary)

Every armor also has Armour Regenation value (how much percentage or armor regenerates while in combat / second? i don't know if per second), the less armor value the bigger regeneration value, that balances all the armor kinds there is.

The ranger has medium value of armor and 5% of regen / piece

Ranger should not get much attention from mobs, which balances the value of armor against a commando, when i play my ranger and when i play my grenadier it's really different.

I hit 25 recently and i got to upgrade my gear. Gained about 2k armor doing that. This should probably help as long as i don't try something stupid. Still, sometimes the stupid stuff just happens without me trying.

Stay behind them so they can't hit you with the ray of death.  Stryder and stalkers are easy to take down that way no matta what the lvl diff.  Stryders can KD while ur behind them but w/e they cant do enough dmg to kill you unless you agro a bunch.  The bomb kinda hurts but most of the dmg comes from the head so just keep circling.
