Will there be Guild vs Guild and Team vs Team

I played 2 years long Guildwars and i loved Guild vs Guild and 8 vs 8. You really need to be a skilled player to get in the top 25.

I really hope that WAR also got this. I'm not talking about Order guild vs Order guild, because that won't fit with the lore, but about Order guild vs. Destruction guild.

You make a team with your guild for a scenario. 10 vs 10 against a destruction guild. You get rewarded with points when you win, you lose points when you lose. The guild with the most points is nr 1 on the ranklists.

I also want Team vs Team. I know they already got it, but I thought this was with random players. You can't make tactics before you go into battle. I hope they make two kinds of scenario types for this

1. Scenario's with a selfmade team.

2. Scenario's that you can join at any moment. You get a random team.

Mythic wanted that WAR is based on player skills and not gear. With gvg and team vs team you see who is the most skilled guild/team. They choose what archetypes they want in the battle and what tactics.

Too weird to live, and too rare to die

I highly doubt there will be, and have not seen any mention that there will be or will not be.

WAR's focus is RvR, which is a community effort. Mythic will not want to diminish the community atmosphere, one of DAoC's strongest points, by dividing the community in an effort to have their guild be the best.

To foster a strong realm you should not compete with one another, but purely against the other side. If guilds are ranked, then suddenly you are competing with your own side.

Anyway, I do not see it happening. On the bright side, Guidl Wars 2 will be coming out, probably in 2009 or something, so that will satisfy fans of that type of game.

Ok, maybe GvG will never happen, but team vs team? You always get irritated by people who are afk/retarded. I really like the make your own team concept so.

Well, since I never played Warhammer and I am not a Lore master then I really wouldn't care too much about seeing something along the lines of "branches" of a guild formed up as a team for scenarios (like a subguild) and then some kind of "reknown" system based on how many victories, enemies killed, etc. they have had. It would build on the "reknown" concept. Teams/ Bands/ Subguilds could advance in ranks and earn titles, etc.

I'm guessing Warherald will probably have a section that will show servers top reknown pt holders, and other ratings (singular and guild) and the such like camelotherald does. So a team based idea wouldn't be so bad. Try running this over with the people who follow the lore religiously though, they might object.

Yes! That is exactly what i mean. They probably have now that you just click: "Enter scenario", so you get all random people. If you want to play a scenario with you friend you have to be lucky to get in the same team. I just thought about this, if they dont have two seperate area's for the team scenario's and the random player scenario's.

You can go in alone or you can make a team of 2,3,4 players to go in. So you can always play with a few friends. You still got a lot of random people in your team, but you don't have to worry that you won't be in the same team as your friend.

This is what i want:

Random player scenario: you can just click on "Enter scenario" and fight or you can make a team of max 3-4 players to go in. When you do that you still get other random people. If the scenario allows 16 players. You can have 4 teams of 4 players or 2 teams of 3 players + 1 team of 2 players + 4 random players + 1 team of 4 players. Or anything like that.

Team based scenario: The scenario allows less players, around 10-12, so it won't take forever to make a team. With this concept you can make tactics, what everybody has to do. If you play this style you cannot face any random team. It will always be Random team vs Random team and Selfmage team vs Selfmade team. Many people stop PvP, because they get irritated by other players who play it for the first time. This will be the perfect solution

Like Impyriel said you can give points to earn guild titles or PvP items. With this you won't lose the Realm vs Realm feeling, but you can choose your own team and you get rewarded if you win.

Edit: Can somebody with good english writing skills make this understandable for the Mythic devs so i can send the idea to them.

MMORPG Character Monuments

...When its time for your character to take a well deserved rest...

I believe you can enter the combat areas as a group with extra players or NPCs added to flush out the side. So in that way, you will get team vs team
