Elias: What could be hotter than an elven princess wielding a sword?
Randal: A donkey show

My character just hit 20 and while I've had fun with the game so far, I'm finding that I've run out of steam to keep leveling and max out into Tier 4. The content just seems pretty repetitive, and I'm having a hard time leveling my Sapper.

So as I said before, I'm not trying to troll here. I'd like to hear suggestions from those who've hit 50 or at least in the 40s about what sort of things I can look forward to. Are there some awesome instances in the upper levels? Do the top tier skills completely change the game (I'm thinking of doing engineer or sapper)? Should I switch to a soldier specialty if I'm bored as a specialist?

Any help would be appreciated, as at this point I'm seriously considering deactivating my account and waiting for the devs to actually implement some things they've promised.

Go back and read some of the old posts.

The game craps out at around 20-30 depending on your tolerance and desire to play.

There is no end game that has anything to do with the story line, only smacktards running from instance to instance spamming duel requests.

Many of us asked in the beta about the end game and all we got for a reply is "it isn't in yet, this is a beta" and then BOOM they released it with no end game except hastily thrown together clan vs clan pvp that had nothing to do with the game content.

It was a big mistake releasing the game early, but Garriott had screwed around with NCsoft's money for too many years and they told him it was sink or swim time.

Unfortunately it looks like Tabula Rasa is sinking pretty fast, even faster than Auto Assault.

I have a level 50 medic as well as several level ~30s. The final tier changes the way the classes play a lot. It's like a whole new character in many cases. Engineers and demolitionists change dramatically from sappers (and both are good). The game definitely does not end at level 30. Also, soldiers are overrated I think, particularly at high levels. Level 50 specialists can do things many soliers wouldn't dream of trying in pve.

Instances: there are some good ones and some really bad incomplete ones. Some of it is definitely entertaining, but some people have a low tolerance for the ones that are broken. Also the types of enemies you fight are unchanged for the most part. If you can't stand the small variety in enemy models, this will not change. Zone themes and storylines do change however.

For me, a large part of the fun comes from being in a good clan that has events and actively participates in clan wars. Clan wars really add a new dimension to the game, especially if the clans you're fighting are cool. There are a lot of special event type battles you can organize as well. If I wasn't in a pvp clan, the game probably wouldn't be nearly as appealing. The only other thing to do at 50 now is farm for level 50 purple items or make alts. I highly recommend you join a good warring clan.

[RED means DEAD]

To the OP..

At level 20 you shouldnt be bailing out at this point. There is alot of ground to still cover for a level 20.

Make sure your exploring as well in game. Use the Wormholes to venture onto other planets for even crazier battles and leveling spots.

If I am not mistaken.. I went this route.. I been playing since November 10th at a casual pace (I am at level 33 right now).

Wilderness, Divide, Palisades, Plains, Incline, Mires and Plateau..

Target of Opportunity Missions buy up alot of time. If you start to get an itch to try another location, by all means, do it.

I dont know if I gimped myself or if its a in game bug. But apparently I got 7 out of 10 Target of Oportunitys quests done .

The 3 I didnt do were the Assault and Defend (Imperial and Landing Zone. And for some reason I cant collect tokens now. (the newbie Wilderness Zone where I was just all lost in the game at the time)

The reward is a Clone Credit.

Goodluck in the game and at least try to level 40. TR is going to be implementing PAUs in their next huge patch. Slated around Jan - Feb 2008

Im in the EXACT same situation. Basically hoping there will be something different than doing the same kind of missions and instances. I mean what is the objective of this game? It isnt a sandbox MMORPG so what is there to look forward for? Clan PvP seems just a FPS fragfest rippoff and if I want that I will play an FPS.

I guess another game with potential going down the drain because of devs not aiming for anything more than a WoW clone.
