I should have included Vanguard as a strong title.  And I will say this:  SWG is simply the most immersive, creative, innovative and overall brilliant MMORPG I have ever played.  Believe it or not.  So, SOE has more strong titles than EQ 2.

 

Why would you boycott a game because they see themselves making more money if they allow gold sellers. Selling to India they are spread their game to a more world wide market. The card game more money in there pockets. Key phrase money talks in this world BS walks.

First response would be to take a college "Logic" course.  Then tell me how much reason is actually shown in a logical arguement.

Beyond that game play is subjective thus it would be hard to use reasoning.  You can't make an objective statement about a subjective topic.

I suppose you were just being sarcastic and wanted them to spell out the fact... that they quit playing SOE games when the CU came out in SWG..

There really isn't any reason to Boycott SOE.  If they make a game you enjoy... then you'd most likely play it.  If they don't offer anything you'd enjoy.. then why would you pay for it?

They totally screwed up SWG (in my opinion).  Yet if they released a game I actually enjoyed.. I'd play it.

I mean it seems pretty simple to me in the end.  Why would you pay for anything you don't personally enjoy and why would you not play something you do enjoy because it says SOE on it... Beyond that asking people to universally Boycott a company... would pretty much require them all to have your point of view.

Most people who played a SOE game in the past allready do ( boycott SOE ).

Where have you been? Of course they should be boycotted. I have been boycotting them since they ruined classic EQ. Besides screwing players left and right on almost every game they control, they now want to make RMT transactions standard practice in MMOGs and completely destroy the genre.

I have been boycotting SoE for a while now.  It's easy because I don't want to play any of their shitty games anyway.  That's their whole scam.  We'll give you half a dozen shitty games we run on the bare minimum for the low low price of 25 dollars a month!  Woo hoo!

They should be boycotted just for how they ruined a great IP Star Wars Galaxy.

If anyone doesn't know how Vanguard's key assets were "acquired", then they should do some research [ don't let me or anyone else mislead you find out for yourself ] and THEN come back here and tell everyone why they *shouldn't* be boycotted.

The only thing that could possibly be interesting would be a trial of vanguard since I have no intention of paying for junk until I know it's not.  plus they need to prove it's not an EQ grind fest and actually a sandbox.

I'm not a fan of Sigil, some aspects of Vanguard are good, but other sucked.

I've played VG and now playing EQ2 again. SOE has done an outstanding job. I'd be playing VG, but my GFs horrid computer can't run it.. so we are playing EQ2 instead. Both VERY fun to play. I can't speak for the other games, because they arn't my style. I've played them and enjoyed them in the past.. probably would be the same now.

The India crap was a rumor and you're a complete moron to buy into something like that.. that's just absurdly dumb as hell.

What's wrong with LON? You don't HAVE to buy cards. The option to buy cards is available for those that don't have an EQ1/EQ2 account.. this allows them to still enjoy the game. I find it VERY fun, but that's just me.. I've only bought 1 starter pack.. the rest I bought in-game for cheap as dirt. So if you're buying them with RL money then smack your self for being dumb like I did.

You people keep crying about SE servers.. they're trying to do something other companies don't have the balls to do. They're literally trying to please everyone. Some people like to buy items.. what's wrong with that? Just because you're jealous of the extra financial wealth doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed to do what brings them joy in a game. You people act like SOE is turning every server into an SE.. they arn't.. in the beginning they was going to, but the players voices reached them and they decided to just make SE servers.. they tried something new.. the players spoke out.. Forced EQ2 raiding? WHAT? -ROFWAFFLES- I'm a necromancer and solo/duo 100% of the time.. you don't need to raid unless you want to raid.. you don't need raid gear to enjoy the game or to play it completely.. player skill comes into play A LOT in this game.. 1 wrong move on certain classes will cost you a repair bill. Raiding certainly isn't forced.. 4yr account.. 3.2yrs of it active.. i've raided twice.. i've done group instances several times, but i'm talking full blown raids. i've only done twice. Far from forced.
