Tear down the veil, that bars your heart, from feeling this.

Basically post anything relating to music here.

What artists you like/dislike,what your listening to now, and anything else related.

Have fun!

"I was born intelligent but education ruined me."

Agree with the last sentence you posted.

I'm waiting for Metallicas and Guns 'N' Roses new albums to come out.

Unfortunately, I'm old. So, great music to me is:

KISS

Ozzy Osbourne / Black Sabbath

Judas Priest

Megadeth

Twisted Sister

Metallica

Quiet Riot

Slayer

Dokken

Just to name a few. And yes, (c)rap sucks.

*Gasp* Rap doesn't suck!! Well tbh i've heard of plenty of rap tracks which do suck and have a decent beat but the lyrics lack. BUT Eminem, Immortal Technique, Mob Deep, Nas are quite good, imo.

Wisely, and slow. They stumble that run fast.

I like rap.  I understand why others don't, but I do.  Sure, it won't have that lasting appeal a quality song will have, but it will get me temporarily hyped.

If I want to really listen to music I usually listen to:

Radiohead

Tool

APC

Muse

NiN

Nirvana

Modest Mouse

I like both old and newer rock like: Nirvana, Police, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, Kiss, Guns N' Roses, Thin Lizzy, Van Halen and Queen. And I can't stand techno and rap music, and there is no idea to try to argue with me either.

Scripture is only as ambiguous as our ignorance of it allows it to be.

The only rap song I can stomach is Clint Eastwood by the Gorillaz. Enya and Feist are my two favorite artists. Other than them I've got a ton of songs that I like but never very many from the same artist. Oasis has a few good songs. Here's my repertoire of 80s songs:

  • Stay On These Roads by a-ha
  • Take On Me by a-ha
  • Analogue by a-ha (2006?)
  • The Promise by When in Rome
  • Love in the Shadows by E.G. Daily
  • Mind Over Matter by E.G. Daily
  • What Is Love by Haddaway
  • Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now by Starship
  • I'll Be Your Shelter by Taylor Dayne
  • Here I Go Again by Whitesnake
  • Down Under by Men at Work
  • Forever Young by Alphaville
  • Don't You Forget About Me by Simple Minds
  • Always Something There to Remind Me - Naked Eyes

I'm pretty sure those are all 80s songs; either 80s or early 90s. I've got more, but those should suffice.

"Put your foot where your mouth is." - Wisdom from my grandfather
"Paper or plastic? ... because I'm afraid I'll have to suffocate you unless you put this bag on your head..." - Ethnitrek

[Insert Tool lyrics]

If it isn't written by Maynard James Keenan, it's crap.

There's something kinda sad about the way that things have come to be, desensitized to everything, what became of subtlety?
