My opinions Worst Graphics: Pirates of the Burning Sea Least Fun: Pirates of the Burning Sea Most Desolate: SWG closeley followed by VG Worst Use of Popular IP or License: SWG Lamest Launch: Vanguard so much promise and what a failiure delivered Most Likely to be Cancelled in 2008: SWG on announcment of KOTOR online :) and i shall rejoice Biggest Stinker: Pirates of the Burning Sea |

Last year, I voted SWG in all categories, and it won nearly every category, but this year I'm going to do something different. I'm only going to vote in one category: Most likely to be canceled in 2008, and to that award, I honor Fury.
There should be a category for worst developer and worst publisher, I think the award would go to Perpetual and SOE respectively. |

Why is everyone voting Star Trek Online for most likely to be canceled in 2008? There is NO GAME. Hell, it'll prolly still be in courts in 2008. Odds are, if it is ever made, it will be a 2010 or later launch. If you're going to vote a game, make it a game that _actually exists_. |

Worst Use of Popular IP or License: Star Wars Galaxies : NGE (Really, it's like a WW2 game with Fokker DR 1's, Zulus, Knights and F-16's!) Lamest Launch: Vanguard (Sad to say, that game could have been something... Could have) Most Likely to be Cancelled in 2008: Not sure. (Either companies try to sell "station passes" or they convert the failures into some F2P scheme..sheesh) Biggest Stinker: Star Wars Galaxies : NGE (I would have loved to say "Any Asian grinder F2P, but those games are in fact improving in comparison!)

Worst Graphics: Anarchy Online. I know it's old and free to play now, but come on graphics look like ol' DOS games. Least Fun: World of Warcraft. It may be the "big boy" with 9+ million subs, but TBC didn't change anything and it's still the same game it was 2 years ago. World events nearly non-existant and just more 70 content being added to cater to all the powergamers. Most Desolate: Horizons. Being able to play as a dragon surely had appeal, but during my free trial period I saw a total of ... three... players. Total. Worst Use of Popular IP or license: Matrix Online. The movies should of translated well into an MMO, but the gameplay was horribly botched. Missions were extremely repetative and the "fun factor" wore off after a few days due to it. Lamest Launch: Vanguard. Simply put, the game wasn't ready. Period .. no if's and's or but's about it. Most Likely to be Cancelled in 2008: Star Trek Online. It really only appeals to a select group of people and they don't seem excited about it, kinda "bleh, they're gonna screw it up" attitude. Biggest Stinker: Vanguard. All the hype about this game was totally unfounded. Bad launch, buggy, deserted servers. You name it this game screwed it up. |
