Im a bit tired atm, so excuse my rudeness :P Why was I disqualified exactly ? any particular reason ? I recieved the mail today, or perhaps today + ~9 hours ago if it's pacific times, so I'm stil lway within the 24hs and last time I checked there's not really a reason to disqualify me oO Read Mail - MMORPG.COM - YOU HAVE BEEN ISSUED A WINNING TICKET!From: mailer@mmorpg.com (12/07/07 11:47)

The times they use are EST, so maybe the email they sent wasn't able to get to your inbox in time, and it took you longer than 24 hours from 9pm EST on Dec 1st to get to it. If you're just posting now, it makes me assume that you're more than just one day late, the 24 hours would be Dec. 2nd at 9pm EST, It's unfortunate "A single battle you have won, but so quick to think that this will be the end? I, like fear, am eternal, and in your dreams, I shall forever haunt." |

After checking my mail, I noticed that the actual mail was sent 5 days ago. Saying that you are aware of a mail issue with slow send/recievingo f mails within MMORPG is great, but you forget to add it's 5!! fucking days. Scam on, scam on.
NOTE: To create total fairness, we have also sent this ticket to your MMORPG.COM private mailbox. As we know that some people have slower mail systems than others.
My mistake, you say my mailbox is slow, well in contrary, my MMORPG mailbox seems to have a delay of 5 days. Not that this issue is worth it to me anyways, but it's just so typical.

The odd thing is, I got my email in the evening of December 1st. Delayed email or caught in a spam filter by chance? |

What, exactly, were you scammed out of? |

Scamming has many forms, including faking problems due to which "accidentially"things don't arrive on time.
But yeah..you just had to go for the cheap comment.

Seems to me, you just have not followed up with the contest. Everyone who signed up for the contest I'm sure was checking to see if they won. The mail was sent 5 minutes prior to the final drawing and the contest winners were listed on this site. So you need to A. check your email more often than 5 days, B. log into this site and check your PM and C. look to see if you actually won by click the link that was up even the next day.
You snooze you lose.. Maybe next time you enter a contest you will pay attention |

I'm informing MMORPG.COM that their mailsystem is fucked up. All accounts for games, forums, you name it, go to one of my idiot mails. I check MMORPG.COM Daily and I'm not fuzzed about losing a month EVE playtime. However, it's initially their mailsystem that's supposed to inform me about this and not my actual mail, even though I appreciate the gesture. For one, you could extend your actions for a slightly longer period, but I guess that would screw up the system, which is of course meant to have as little as possible actual give-aways. Yes that's my personal synical opinion. Booyah. So again, I play EVE for a year now, I'm not bothered, but it's just another example of bad communication between two parties.

Originally posted by Aristea When you were disqualified the prize returned to the open prize list and another drawing was selected for any un-confirmed prizes. The prize was given out to the 24 hours after the first drawing to a person who did reply in time to the second drawing. Your personal cynical opinion is wrong in this case. |

Our local mail is zero delay (it is sent and recieved from the same mail server). I have never seen a delay in this. Because you are telling us this now and not the day of the drawing it is not possible to prove. It is the duty of the user to check the contest page to see if they are on the winner list as well. - MMORPG.COM Staff - |
