As a VCO addicted, I have to ask if there is anyone  playing this game for real? How does it feel to have to do everything by yourself, like, mine, log, fish, etc?

Is anybody actually leveling up in this game?

There are a lot of players playing now, and we (BBO community) love this game and the way Yusho is managing it.

It's not as easy to get matterials as it is in VCO, becasue you can't just create as many accounts you want as slave account to do everything for you. This is ok IMO, we are all on the same page here and are having fun leveling together.

Plus they have quests which are only available in BBO and hold real in-game events regularly to make it more exiting.

I respect everyone who chose this game over VCO, but everyday, when I come back from work, did everything I have to do and sit by the PC to play, my thoughts always are: "What will I do today? Level up my ship in BF? Level up my weapon, and where? Camp a few bosses? Board Smmuglers? Explore for findings? Do a commercial task, out for money and eloquence?"

I really don´t see myself thinking: "Today I´m gonna do some logging till lvl 31, or mine till I make brass, or fish till I get normal eaglewood, etc". This  "do it all yourself" aspect of the game is the biggest trouble form me. And I have a normal life, I could never match an 18 hour/day player.

In my pace, after 8 months of VCO, I have accomplished many things, I have a level 8(going 9) BS, Dragon weapon, etc, and a good source of equipment and raw materials from my alts. How long it would take for me to reach the same level in BBO? 3 years? More? Sorry, for me it doesn´t work.

But I wish luck and joy for those who chose BBO.

Actually, there are ways to increase your XP in certain skills by completing quests or the black market tokens given out every month by Yusho. You certainly do not have pay RL cash for anything extra, just the monthly subscription. Many players have got to your level in about 5 months which I don't think is too bad on average.

hi,

i'm playing BBO in germany and here are many player playng BBO, several hundreds. some reached nearly high end, with lvl 11 battleships and dragon stuff all over. many guilds and wars and city sieges. while the end of the beta they opend the item mall with all the stuff f.e. the level books of VCO, this was crap.

i'm proud of my char i build by myself and not through levelbooks.

As I said before, i am a normal person, i don´t play 18/20 hours a day.  the way I see, in BBO you don´t get smashed by the deep pockets of the item mall users, but you get hammered by hardcore kids who do nothing but sit by the computer and play. And there is nothing you can do about it.

I desagree with many things regarding the VCO Item mall, but I think is a way for daily (but not hardcore) players not be always the victim.

BTW: My BS is lvl 10 now.  :-))))

I have to agree with you on your useage of the term hardcore players however, on any MMO we all face the same thing. There are lots of players with the time or computer resources to devote days to nothing but "grinding out" their skills. It goes with being in an MMO and while not many of us enjoy this reality is it still a reality.  You obviously enjoy paying alot extra to get ahead in VCO and I applaud you for both your cashflow and your efforts to make someone in the company alot wealthier. We on the poorer side of life don't have this advantage so we utilize the time we do have online to do the best we can. Unlike many players in BBO I'm unable to do any AFK stuff, my computer is family owned and until we can afford to get more of them, I'm stuck with my 2 to 4 hrs per day.

However, even taking this into consideration both my enjoyment level and satisfaction are alot higher then most simply due to the fact I did on my own. So, for you VCO works and thats wonderful. For me and alot of others the idea of actually working for our skills and levels are the real reward. Even though there will always be someone stronger and more skilled then us, being simply "Uber" isn't just what being in an MMO is about. I can be uber on a console platform game.  What I cannot have is the interaction of varied peoples that MMO offers.

My friend. I am brazilian, as you know, a 3th world country. Altough I am not one of the miserable in my country, even if I have a fair job with a fair paycheck in the end of the month, I could never be called as a member of the "rich side of life".

As I stated here before, my spends went to U$ 20/month, for me and my wife, which means we are both paying about U$ 10/month, less than you spend with your BBO account.

I just think that pay U$ 15 to a game that allows you to own one account with 2 chars that can´t interact doesn´t seem very fair to me.

If we look at PotBS, for exemple, you have one account with 8 chars possible. I don´t think you can login most of one at once, but I still think like this you can have a wider use of the game. And it costs the same U$ 15/month.

If BBO allowed you to have like 5 chars and be allowed to log at least 3 simultaniously, perhaps you could have the oportunity of a more envolving gaming experience.

Look, I am not a fanatic IGG lover, I think they are doing much crap in the game, but  these money issues don´t seem to be clearly depicted in these threads.

The biggest difference between VCO and BBO is in VCO you start out with some mega super dragon ship.  It's fun for awhile, but gets boring really quick.  I'd rather have to work for my ship/items

With the New ability quests you can have any ship lvl 7 in a day or two so don't complain about dragon boat. At least VCO has some events while the Gm's from berlin don't even have time to check their own forum and make player made guids sticky.
