I'm a sucker for the classics, so Kirk is my overall favorite.

But I would much rather serve under Picard.  Picard trusted his crew.  Kirk was a micromanaging whore.

Sisko was probably the most well-rounded leader.  Could lead an attack on the Cardasians after breakfast, broker a peace deal at lunch, organize a sandlot game after dinner, close down the bar that night.  Then start again tomorrow.

Archer was lucky he had powerful friends with time machines or his tenure would have been short-lived.  He never should have commanded; too "golly-gee" and beholden to friends.  He should have court-martialed Trip half a dozen times.

Janeway was clueless, but probably looked better in a nighty than the others.

I liked Captain Janeway. She was Strong and Sensitive, nicely balanced. She also had a damn sexy voice.

I don’t know what the key to success is, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone.

I think the "Enterprise" series is the best so Archer is my favorite.
