This game is way too much by auto assault.  Another game made my NCsoft basicaly evolved into a game about a bunch of people that are fighting for land (Very easily) in order to level up and of course upgrade to new weapons and chasis, i mean armor.

I will admit although it is somewhat amusing and all it was pretty overhyped.  I dont think i would pay 50 dollars for it but if it was in a lan or something or had 6 or so of my friends playing i could possibly get into it.

But it was too similar to Auto-Assault in almost every aspect of gameplay.

it was under hyped sense day 1 until it released and got the reviews it deserved.

If you don't like it then don't play it. You're making a halfassed opinion about a game you havn't played. If you have then you havn't played it past beta, which a lot has changed.

It does seam similar to auto assault, but much better.

I personally loved auto assault. It just needed more to it. That's where this game comes in. The improved upon a mistake. That's how it should be done. You live. You learn. You improve.

You review or opinion, I should say, is garbage. You gave no good. No bad. No ugly. You just said it's to similar to another game and not for your taste.. big deal.. if that's the kind of crap you're going to say then don't say it at all, because frankly no one gives a damn.

At the least play it then give an opinion. <modedit> This goes for everyone as well.

(My appologies for making an example out of you, but you asked for it.)

[ Played ] 2Moons, Anarchy Online, City of Heroes, City of Villains, Dark Age of Camelot, Everquest, Everquest II, Guild Wars, HellGate: London, Lord of the Rings Online, Rappelz, RF Online, Shadowbane, Star Wars Galaxies, Sword of the New World, Tabula Rasa, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, World of Warcraft, Last Chaos

[ Playing ] Everquest II

I never saw all of this "Hype" you claim to have seen for this game.

As far as your complaint it's actually quite vague and almost fits nearly any game released to date.

if you ask me all mmo's are similar to world of warcraft. thats what we all do now right is compare each new mmo to warcraft? because warcraft is the ultimate mmo and all other ones are just ripoffs of that game. (if you havnt guessed already im bein sarcastic) anyways do not judge something unless you actually tried it out.

Lets all make a game. An MMO to be precise. Let's start with this basic concept: We will create a game about a bunch of _________ that are fighting for ________ in order to _________ and of course upgrade to new _______ . Sound good?

Here are the words you can use for the first blank: People, monsters, cars, ships, spaceships, vehicles, Jedi, Superheroes, Hobbits, Elves, and Dragons

Second Blank: Land, water, planets, loot, items, instances, battlegrounds, treasure, skills and Prestige

Third blank: (Gain or obtain) Levels, make gold, new skills, new items, Point, Armor, Weapons, vehicles and Status

Fourth Blank: See Third Blank Above

See what I did there? I just gave you the basis for creating a new MMO based on your brief, yet ineffective, description of TR. There is nothing in your description that informs us that you played the game nor do you prove why it is too much like AA. Based on your description, every game is too much like every other game or MMO made.

So then what was your intention of comparing it to AA. Let me guess:

1. You hate TR and/or AA and believe that by comparing it to AA you will keep people from playing.

2. You hate NCSoft and want to do the same as above by comparing it to AA.

3. You have no clue about TR and simply want to try and compare it to a failed game.

4. YOu really did try TR and wanted to compare it to AA because you believe it is comparable.

Not sure which one it is but let me say this: TR, in my opinion is in no way comparable to TR unless you dumb TR down into the basic description of every other MMO you made. Why is TR nothing like AA (and yes I played them both)?

1. TR doesn't involve vehicles. AA was about upgrading your vehicle and not your character as much. This led to little loyalty or connection with your character whereas in TR you make your character you own.

2. TR has a great storyline and one that really sinks in if you take the time to read the missions and read the backstory. Was there story in AA? I am still not sure.

3. TR's launch was smooth and the game is very playable. AA's launch was acceptable at best.

That 's just some basics but I think it gets my point across. Next time you feel like comparing two games, actually compare them.

First off thank the majority of you for your flames, not only do you sound just like one of us "Hardcore pvp kiddies" but the fact thats its based ona game thats the next "Clone" is pretty funny.  If you need any more than explaining that its AA with different sounds textures and models then wow, bravo for being so observant, not to mention bashing someone for their opinion, China ftw!

Im sure once the game is out long enough people will start to see it, its nothing really special only thing that sets this game apart from AA is that you have to take land control points (which are easy not only to get but to defend).

First off im going to thank you for actually putting thought into your post and not just blindly bashing another player for their opinion.  Secondly some of those options you have in there are already basic clones for the DAOC clone war we haev goin on (Lotro, WoW, eq II etc etc).

As i stated in my post above just cause TR isnt about vehicles doesnt mean the games are extremely different, I base games on their gamePLAY.  I base it on combat, player involvement or "skill" if you will.  This game has exactly the same build as AA, the crafting system how the skills dont really even go wtiht he character (even though lore explains it so thats going to be a bonus).  But all this is is just like daoc is to WoW, lotro etc with ITS THE SAME GAME, JUST DIFFERENT TEXTURES, SOUNDS AND MODELS.  I mean, if you rhappy playing it, super.  But I for one are not going to play or waste money on a game I played in the past (unless of course they remake a classic game for a next gen type of deal, those are awesome....sometimes!).

For the rest of you Respect peoples opinions (unless ur China ftw!)  and try to actaully having good points to validate like the one i used here (in the quote) instead of just bashing, cause what else would separate you from one of us "Hardcore kiddies".
