Cute.. I knew before I opened the thread what movie you were talking about. It isn't eye-opening, it wasn't the last time it was posted, and it wasn't the time before that. Stupid conspiracy theories.

It is an eyeopener if it makes you think beyond what is served to you. But if you replace one propaganda for another, I'm sorry, but you are blind.

Like the movie

It was a good movie to challenge the standard idealogical thinking in America. It made me look deeper into the topics presented. To that end, the movie is good. However....

Federal Income Tax is a law.

While jet fuel may not be hot enough to burn through steel, the heat caused the supports to lose structural integrity which caused them to snap when the floors began collapsing.

Building 7 was damaged by shrapnel from the other two impacts. In fact, a considerable amount of the building had been scooped out by the blast damage.

While we knew about Pearl Harbor a week in advance and had done quite a bit to antagonize the Japanese, it was mainly hubris that kept us from doing anything about it. This was a time when anyone that wasn't white wasn't considered a threat. So we didn't think much about pissing off the Japanese.

There were a few other things, but I think you get the idea. It's definitely worth educating yourself as much as possible on all of these subjects. I probably could have skipped the first part of the movie that deals with religion since I've already made up my mind about that one. At any rate, knowledge is power, learn as much as you can about everything put forward in the movie.

I'm still sorting out the central banking thing. Banking reform is hardly a new issue however. The only real question with banking reform is what we're going to replace central banking with. Central Banking  is a lot like Democracy, everyone complains about it but no one has any better ideas.

One thing I love from these Conspiracy theories is that they seem to always place a lot of blame on Bush, but then turn around and use incidents that took place during the Clinton Administration, but don't show Clinton in the Video at all and don't place any blame on his administration.

Also I love how the US has all this Government programs there to just control people.  Yet these same people think that the other countries are better.  Even though the European Countries, Canada, etc all have more Federal control over their citizens and their citizens depend on their government more in those countries then in the US.  Plus all of those European countries have Central Banks, etc as well. 

The Film was a bunch of hogwash.  They used a great presentation effect though by splicing "Fiction" (Hollywood movies clips) with their supposed "truth". 

I really would like to know why no one seems to mention during this video that the first World Trade Center incident, the Ohklahoma City Bombing, and the Cole Bombing (all supposedly carried out by the CIA) all took place during the Clinton Administration.  And all took place with Directors of the CIA that Clinton put into office.  Even September 11th took place with a Director of the CIA that Clinton put into office because Tenet was put into office in 1997 and he didn't leave until 2004. 

But yet in this video we don't see any clips of President Clinton.  It is almost like the eight years he spent in office never happened.

IT is also pretty odd that the Video does a good job of trying to Paint Bush as Evil and the Republicans in general as evil yet:

WW1 when the Lusitania was attacked (supposedly at the behest of our government) Woodrow Wilson was the President and a Democrat.

WW2 when Pearl Harbor happened (once again supposedly something our government wanted) FDR was the President also a Democrat.

Vietnam when the Gulf of Tonkin incident (supposedly faked according to this video even though there was atleast one attack made by the Vietnamese) Lydon B Johnson was the President and once again a Democrat. 

As I said before the supposed CIA led bombings of the WTC, ohklahoma federal building, and USS Cole were all done when President Clinton was in office and he is a Democrat. 

So the only event we have is the 9/11 attack that actually took place when a Republican president was in office, but as I said the Director of the CIA was still the same Director that Clinton put into that position.  Which would mean that if the CIA was actually doing these events it would come back to the Democrats again.

What Left/Right thing?  I see a whole lot of Leftist people shown in this movie.  About the only right leaning people  in the whole thing is the Cheney/Bush Administration. 

The fact remains that the film doesn't reveal any absolute truths.  It is like a Magician.  It uses misdirection to confuse you and then presents snipets and clips of information taken out of context.  It uses Hollywood movies and intertwines that with supposed reality to create an atmosphere congruent with their agenda. 

You say the movie doesn't go into depth but yet covers a lot of topics.  Yet it goes way into depth about the 9/11 "conspiracy" and spends a considerate amount of time trying to paint President Bush as the second coming of Hitler.  It really tries to perpetuate the "terror" of an Imperial government with Bush at the head.  And yet it does exactly what it claims the mass media does.  It uses information to try and whip people into a false terror of an event that will never happen.  

It sure paints Bush in a bad light while glossing over the fact that all of the build up to this supposed CIA conspiracy to commit these acts actually is put into place by the Clinton Administration.  Heck it blames the CIA but doesn't even mention the Directors that were in charge at the time.  It doesn't show Clinton a single time in the whole Video.  Not once. 

Why? 

Well that is because the video while under the false premise that it is looking to uncover truth is actually a leftist propaganda to try to spin blame unto Bush and his "supposed" secret backers.  It makes use of one of the most hated symbols of the 20th century by comparing Bush to Hitler. 

The Movie uses just enough of the REAL issues and feelings to try and convince you that all of it is true.  Sure a lot of americans would love to have the IRS repealed.  One of the things I love about the movie is it claims that income Tax is used solely to pay the interest on our Debt.  Which is completely and utterly a LIE!

2007:

1.1 Trillion dollars was paid in Federal individual Income Tax.  A Total of 2.4 Trillion was paid in Taxes.

243 Billion dollars was paid in interest.  (Which is a Lot of Money But nowhere near the total earned in Income Tax, Heck it doesn't even match just individual income tax)

We use roughly 22% of the individual income tax or 10% of the total Federal Tax to pay the interest on our Debt per year. 

We spend more on Medicare, Medicaid, Unemployment and welfare, Defense, and Social Security then we do on paying the interest on that debt.  By the way none of these programs is a viable program that the Federal Government should be providing.  They should all be funded individually at the State level.

Also I thought the little snippet about Horus was funny it glazes over it very quickly and states that Horus is a Virgin Birth and the Holy Spirit consemates the birth.  Yet:

Thus Isis went out to search for each piece which she then buried. This is why there are many tombs to Osiris. Bush makes a good example though since he is very overt about his connections with "Old Money" power brokers. However, just blaming an ambiguous group of "international bankers" and not dropping any specific names definitely places this movie in the realm of conspiracy theory. We can do something about specific people, organizations and institutions that are unjust. We are powerless against those things that we cannot see. This movie doesn't shed light on who the "international bankers" are so it increases the sense of paranoia and helplessness rather than giving us adequate tools to fight back. In other words, classic conspiracy theory.

I just wonder what these people are going to do after the 2008 election and Bush is no longer in office?  Are they going to admit that they were wrong about Bush wanting to set himself up as the first Emperor of North America?  I worry more about people like Clinton who was trying to set up a dynasty and who was in office when most of the crap that is happening to us know took place.  He wanted his 8 years, then another 8 years for Gore, and then another 8 years with Hillary in Office.  Who knows maybe another 8 years after that with Tipper. 

Where as Bush chose a VP (while a pretty creepy guy who comes across as very secretive) with no aspirations to ever run for President.  Bush could of replaced Cheney with any number of pretty popular people that would have set them up for a decent shot at the White House in 2008, but instead didn't. 

Plus I just can't get over the blatant lie of the film that the IRS was set-up to pay these mysterious international bankers their interest and that is where all our tax dollars go.  Which is completely and utterly not true.

Not bad links, but you need to ditch the answering infidels link. I'm an atheist not an anti-theist so I really could care less what you believe so long as you don't get pushy about it. Just answering one text is pretty weak considering that vast bulk of material criticizing the basis of religion going back thousands of years. It's a matter of faith and I don't have any faith that there is a personal God. I can't say that there isn't a God but, from the historical perspective, it's more than likely that if a supreme being exists it doesn't give a damn about humanity at all. Your opinion is no more valid than mine when it comes to religion so just let it be.
