With all the tension associated with SWG do any of you think that we may ever see a SWG 2; inwhich they try to get everything right from what they messed up on the first one? After all the lessons learned from the first release I think it would be a great idea to start a new MMO in the SW theme. Anyone think this is likely or heard any rumors about it?

Hey Stelos, don't take this the wrong way but this topic had been discussed so much for years now, just search the forums a bit but believe me, I'm just as hopeful for a BETTER star wars mmo as you are. Until that hopeful day, I'll kick back in middle earth. cheers.
If you want rumours: BioWare started an Austin Texas branch where a 'top secret' mmo is in development. BioWare also bought out PANDEMIC, a gaming company with several star wars action titles under its belt while BioWare has probably the best star wars game ever created to their credit, Knights of the Old Republic. Many of SOE - Galaxies staff members have left SOE and been hired by BioWare... there's more out there to suggest that they're working on another SW MMO but it's all speculation... for now. |

Well maybe not from SOE, but yesterday LA and Bioware announced partnering up to do a revolutionary, gamebreaking project. Here's hoping it's an SW MMO that will break the monotony that EQ/WoW clones bring. I'm seriously tired of fantasy MMO's and I never thought I'd say that since I love fantasy books and movies. |

Oh, and I really hope they don't use the same Star Wars Galaxies title... there's just too much bad vibe since SWG. They should call it KOTOR:O or something else, but get rid of the 'G' in SWG 2 |
