Two similar skill based games, darkfall has more content, ESO has more back-story, which do you believe will be best?

Shouldn't matter at this point because darkfall has been in development for 5yrs or so and will release soon I hope. It takes 3-5yrs to make a good MMO, who knows what ESO will look like or be. It is to far off to make an accurate or unbiased decision.

We don't even know if there will BE an Elder Scrolls Online, let alone any of the mechanics. Too soon to say anything about this potential game.

For that matter, we don't even know if there will be a Darkfall either they way it is going. Just look at G&H. Looked better for them and it got canceled postponed indefinitely.

I used to watch that game for quite some time. I'm sorry but I really doubt that game is coming out soon or even at all for that matter. I have every right not to believe its not coming out due to the speed they are going in development (heh if they even are developing anything)

As for a Oblivion online or whatever... that would be cool as i was playing oblivion the other day and the only thing that seemed to be missing is other players lol.

But until i see more proof on it I wont believe it either. Just speculation imo.

I would actually say ESO has more content as well since millions of folks have actually, you know, played it and its previous iterations where as Darfall has had an interesting video capture or two on YouTube.

Neither i though oblivion was a craptastic game, pretty but craptastic, darkfall has been in development for a long time and i doubt that it will release. 

Elder scrolls is a nice idea. However, a LOT of Ideas become vaporware. IN this MMORPG market, the same may befall ES. However, I have my fingers crossed. As to answer your question, Likely play them both. Darkfall will be ot way before ES will be

Exactly what I was thinking.

But Darkfall all the way! Each time I read all the features it makes me happy just thinking such a game is under development.

Not hating just stating the facts and my opinion, and the FACT is that darkfall has been in development for a long time and really isin't close to release i never said anything about the game just taht it probably will not come out based on past performance. My opinion happens to be that it will probably never get released and that oblivion is a crappy game.  So exactly where was i hating if i am just going by past performance of a game?

game as been in dev since 2004 actully well 2003, you have to relize they scrapped what they had with the merge and redid everything and kept the concepts so, in reality in the feature list they want and wanting to start beta with a close to finish product they havent been in dev any longer than tabula rasa was and look what 6 years of tabula rasa got it good pve and some other small features

Name a game that got scrapped after development started and retooled and still came out that wasn't a craptastic game.  Nowhere did i say that i have anything against devs that push back releases to polish the game in fact quite the opposite i prefer that they do not feed us half finished crap and hope we like it.  The odds are just stacked against it, wasting money starting development on a project then scrapping it to retool it does not bode well for any project specially a game.  Again i will clairify that it is my OPINION that it will not release, for the sake of all you people that attack anyone that has an opinion other than undying affection for darkfall i hope it does release so you can stop hating everyone that doesn't love darkfall

How can you say Darkfall has more content lol?  No one in the world has ever seen it except the developers, it could be content empty as far as we are concerned.

Oh and TR was in development 4 years, that is half the time Darkfall has been in developement and TR is now out, where is Darkfall lol?  Oh yeah it and Duke Nukem are in the dictionary as definitions for Vaporware.

Or maybe for the same reasons Dark and Light devs lied, Horizons devs lied, Mourning/Thrones of Chaos devs lied, Gods and Heroes devs lied, etc., etc.,...........................

none of them game devs ever said the game is already feature complete for beta before beta LMAO

I don't think Elder Scrolls Online would be a wise idea. The previous games where singleplayer games where the player could reach the top in every aspect, this isn't possible in MMO's. Also, the games always used topnoch graphics, they won't use that for a MMO (makes the playerbase a bit small ;) ). And last, too much MMO's already using the same setting.

Well, based off the intelligent discourse provided by the Darkfall fans, we can at least rest assured of the maturity level, should they ever release anything. And I have dibs on the Darkfall.exe meme.

However, I am firmly in the "There won't be anything coming out of Darkfall but a lot of hype" camp.
