Ok so I've lived with it for a few years. But really. I get like 200 e-mails a day. I can't delete 600 e-mails in my inbox on this site every day. It takes forever too. You have to manually delete about 30 at a time. Waste of my time. What are you guys doing about it?

I don't receive any spam from mmorpg, i get maybe one mail a month... are you guys being careful to unselect receiving promotional offers/info from all the secondary companies for the competitions etc? Leaving boxes ticked is asking for spam ;)
It might take a bit of time initially, but instead of deleting there should be a link of sorts to unsubscribe you from info and accept that it is better not to know, than to know and receive a load of spam too :)

If that were the case I would be thrilled. I get the kind of spam you really don't want. The viagra kind and the "plz meat wiffe heere" type of spam. The thing is i don't use my mmorpg mail for anything except on this site. So the only way these companies have got it is either that one of the competitions sold all email adresses to spam companys. Or they got lucky in guessing my address. |

It's rather possible that since I've been a member since 2004 and the op has ben a member since 03 that our mail adresses have been spread arround a bit more. |

nope I've never used this e-mail adress anywhere.
The only thing I use it for is mails to and from ppl on this site and for the admins to reach me on the offchance that I might win something ;) |

Same here. Whoever got your email for here got mine to. Everytime I come here to check mail in addition to ton of spam, I have to delete about 50 "Your mailbox as at or near its size limit!!!" warning spam.
Also some of the people who posted on this thread seem to think we are talking about spam from MMORPG.com to our home address. This is not the case, we are talking about 100 metric tons of spam IN our MMORPG.com mailboxes which you may or may not realize you even have.
A better spam filter would be nice, because after this much time, it doesn't look like it's going to stop on its own. For example. In the 10 minutes it took to write this I got the following in my MMORPG mailbox

The only mail I have ever had in my MMORPG.com mailbox was mail letting me know just how close to winning one of the contest's I was.
No hentai spam or the like...
That Guild Wars 2 login screen knocked up my wife. Must be the second coming! |
