I also hope to win, just bought Eve^2 (power of 2) and it could do with some subscription after I have to start paying for it again. I just hope only real eve players sign up, it would be a shame for these to go to waste, if you want to try eve get the trial dont sign up for this : ). Ohhh if i win a big amount of play time i could make a 3rd Char (thanatos + azure (cant rember gallente cyno recon) + Eos = win : P) and use a carrier effectivly after the possible changes (nerf bat) being applied to them. Hope i win. |

Originally posted by Mangobyte If you already know that you love EvE, then why are you entering into the contest? Wouldn't it just make more sense that if you love EvE you would already be subscribed to it? It only hurts the chances of others who don't know if they like EvE or not, because they want to try it, but need more time than 14 days to really give it a go. I think this contest is pefect for those type of people. MMORPG's w/ Max level characters: DAoC, SWG, & WoW Currently Playing: WAR |

You don't make any sense at all. I seriously doubt that the free play time is added to your current subscription, but is rather a new account. That is how these contests always go. "Real EvE players?" How do you think real EvE players became EvE players? By first not being an EvE player to begin with. I feel that the winners should be the people that are actually willing to give this game a real go, is able to subscribe afterward, ISN'T currently subscribed, and the 14 day trial isn't enough. Any "real" EvE player will tell you that EvE cannot be properly "tried out" in only 14 days. Most say you need about 3 months. So this contest is perfect for people like me, not for people like you trying to free load 6 months of free game time, when you already know you like the game. EDIT: I thought it was a given that contests like these are meant to bring NEW people into the game, not support a free loaders desire to get free game time to a game he already plays. You misunderstood the intention of the contest. Its there to bring people to mmorpg.com, not to eve-o. Btw. Eve-o grows on its own and needs no advertising and contests to do that. And i seriously doubt giving people free time will help increase the numbers. If you like eve, you will probably like it from day one, not after 3 months of playing it without liking it. |

Game time may be applied to a single existing account in good standing* or used to create a single new account for EVE Online. (Game time may not be divided among two or more accounts.) The account receiving the game time is subject to the same terms and conditions as any other EVE Online account (i.e. EULA, Terms of Service, etc.) and may not be sold or transferred. If user's actions warrant disciplinary action, including temporary or permanent banning of the account, remaining game time is forfeited. *"Good standing" means the account has not banned for disciplinary measures previously and has no more than three warnings on record. //insert sig here |

What about those of us who already have MMORPG accounts? Does this contest apply to existing members, or is this only for those who sign up for new mmorpg accounts?
Doh.

Call me a cheapscape if you will, but I want to win them all! good luck to the other contestants. ;) p.s. there's a 14 day trial that can get you more then enough experiance to see if you will like the game although you would want to join EVE University to get the most of it. |

I hope that people don't enter for the sake of it... it can't be transferred so it seems a shame if people who know they have no interest in using the play-time win the prizes. Its not the same as winning a keyboard or mouse which could be sold on or given away if not needed.

Sorry I dont mean to keep new people away but I do think that 3 months of play time on someone who hasnt played eve before could be a waste, Eve is very much you love it or you hate it and it would be a shame if such an offer went to waste or if they were to quit straight after the free play time. Disregard my earlier post then, I worded it pretty poorly I meant people willing to give a real go, not necessarily people who really play. I hope this primarly attracts old subscribers that then quit and want to try eve with new changes in place (rev III). I dont think that me "freelaoding" is such a bad thing, If I have supported eve for well over a year I dont think its so wrong if I get some free subscription as long as im useing the time effectivly and having fun its the same as anyone else isnt it? I mean its not as good as attracting someone new to eve who will play the full time and then subscribe, but its not like im abuseing the offer |

If your PC can't run the game and you're out to make money on a potential winning ticket, maybe you should have considered not entering at all....
Oh wait - Profit! |

Originally posted by jakoblin I thought, as stated above these codes are untradeable and if you cant play exe online i dont think you should have entered. Also I do believe you prices are sky high? they all go up @ $15 per month which I dont think is reflected in actual value |
