I really did not think that this game had anything new to offer. Oh boy was i wrong! Its just what a want a mmorpg with a new combat/art style that is quest driven and actually frowns on grinding!  I was looking forward to age of conan but it seems to be to "hardcore" for my taste. Warhammer online seems like although it is RvR based the combat system seems lacking to me. Spellborn has it all... A action and skill based combat system and a great new art stytle man i cant wait for this to come out.

Agreed this game deserves anticipation and excitement, as does AoC and maybe Hero's Journey if they ever really pull it together... much better for the forward progress of the MMO genre than the overhyped 'Dark Age of Warcraft' that is WAR -BUT to each their own I suppose.  For me, I'm still banking on the BioWare Knights of the Old Republic game to be the one I fall for.

i would like war if the combat system was something new and from what ive seen its world of warcraft but RvR based. Ill admit world of warcraft can be fun and it was to me for awhile but i never want to play a game like that again. I want something new.. something more in-dept and i want the combat skilled based and spellborn has it all plus a great artstyle

I am also badly waiting for this game!  It's killing me right now to have to wait. 

lol its kinda funny, cause The Chronicles of Spellborn was barely talked about on this site until someone put it in the same topic as Age of Conan and Warhammer.  There are alot of appealing mmos coming out this year and next year.  In my opinion half the unhyped ones look alot better then WAR.

And still , with that sig, you could just as well say that Silkroad online was the best mmo ever made. The effect would be the same, noone takes what you say very serious :P

But either way, I don't play for graphics, they are a nice addition to the gameplay.

Hey to each their own but cleffy has a point. Their is way to much hybe with warhammer. I dont see why you want to play wow with better pvp when you could have something totally new.

There's no proof to the idea that BioWare is even going to this project.  Even if they did, it would be many years from now.  I recommend on finding an MMO that you enjoy until then :)

Dont take away their hope.. I would be very happy if their was another star wars mmorpg but i wont hold my breath... but thats so lets get back to why the chronicles of spellborn is the mmorpg that people have wanted for awhile

Out of the MMO's that are coming out Q1 of 2008 I have to say that TCoS is the one I am most looking forward to. I think their ideas about reducing the grind, making engaging content, and their real-time combat system will bring new life to the MMORPG World.

I think TCOS is going to be very intressting to see how it is and how it will evolve, I personally am going to try it.

I don’t care how good or bad this game is, I’m buying just for the looks.

 A better reference for the graphic / art style comes from the developers themselves.  The style other than from a certain Dutch designer.  Comes mostly from the artist Brian Froud, who did much of the design for films like The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, as well as paintings in many fantasy art books.

Labyrinth & Dark Crystal are my favorite fantasy films.  The art design alone draws me to watch them over and over.  Aside from all the other great things Spellborn is innovating that Im amazed with.  The Art Design probably took my breath away the most for creating a feel from these films.  All the textures in Spellborn are Hand Painted.  Thats just incredible to me.  I freakin love it!  I even own a autographed art book from Brian Froud.  The book of Strange Stains and Mysterious Smells. That wouldn't be a selling point for me. You talk about over hyped crap, well Fable is one of the worst of all time in this category. For all the things you could do in the game, 95% was useless. I finished the game with time stop pushed to the limit and buying crap load of potion. (fishing took way too much time for what it was worth) The game costed 80$ and i finished it in 11 hours... Thank god for Oblivion: At least those elder scrolls have some content into it. (if you're not a dweeb and play it on hardcore mode, you will end up with over 200 hours of gameplay too.)

  i didnt say it was like mmo of fable.... i said the graphic sytle was similair the combat is skill based and action packed.... If fable was online and had a much better story and improved gameplay are you going to tell me for one second that it wouldnt be awesome mmorpg?
