I would definitely be interested in a game that followed the Potter universe. I actually was thinking about this this summer during work and came up with some cool ideas. Here's a Harry Potter wiki:

If they used the same rules and applied new game rules they could create a really complex and well designed universe. Plus can you imagine how sweet it would be if you could have Quidditch as a profession and play actual World Wide tournaments, have professional teams and what not. Endless possibilities...

Nope wont happen anytime soon, the license to Harry Potter belongs to the author who isn't letting it happen.

even if the author leaves it happen how are you going to put like 10 mil poeple (cause there are so much hp fans) in hogwards? (1000 servers?) just like WoW ? woulndt be cool altough i realy like the books/movies and a mmorpg would be cool to :D

I would let Turbine make the game since they are the only company to successfully capture a movie into a MMORPG.

Even if the author had allowed it to be published you can get 35k people on each seamless world servers. That technology has been around for years now. I would imagine something like a large server farm of these and the cost for monthly subscriptions would be like $18 US because of the popularity and cost to operate such servers.

I will never play/read/watch a Harry Potter game/book/movie now that I know the truth about Dumbledore, now i realize what Dumbledore and that other kid where doing late at night at Dumbledore's house in the last book.

I don't care that I've already know the truth if the game will be made some excellence as Lord Of Ring.
