Gamers who use RMT are like athletes who use steroids. |
Sponsering RMT sales is not progressive, it's regressive. They just killed the game. |

| With PvE raiding it has never been a question of being "good enough". I play games to have fun, not to be a simpering toady sitting through hour after hour of mind numbing boredom and fauning over a guild master in the hopes that he will condescend to reward me with shiny bits of loot. But in games where those people get the highest progression anyone who doesn't do that will just be a moving target for them and I'll be damned if I'm going to pay money for the privelege. - Neanderthal |

Make a WORLD, |
It's still one of the most detailed and Complex (but not Complicated) mmogs around. I jumped back in about 9 months ago and was surprised by the TONS of players on the noob island training area. Some weekends it was TOO crowded! Even in the main game the low level Subway area always had 5-10 people milling around the entrance and running around inside. It reminded me of the goode olde days of some other mmogs where, if you were soloing and got into trouble, passersby would stop and help fight or throw a heal or buff on you. Fun!
So yes it's still possible for new players to start / restart and find low level groups because many of them are re-rolls and secondary characters of long time players. Plus most players were friendly (or at least tolerant) and helpful answering noob questions, not a bunch of jackasses. They even have active GMs monitoring the game - the first time i logged in to noob isle, after about 20 mins a GM toon appeared in front of me with a Welcome Greeting explaining some of the basic commands and asking if i had any questions.
For an old school classic mmog it's Highly Rrecommended. |

I have no problem with that as long as the items for sale are "FUN" stuff. The hoverboard are not needed to be succesful in the game, like anything in life, if you want to have a luxery item you need to pay for it. However i would not approve that if they force peoples to buy needed items. |

yah social clothing and vehicles that cannot be used in a fight are a huge advantage tilter in this pvp based game...
like i said before....
and dont forget funcom was one of the first to make a partnership with ebay to not allow ingame sales for money. hell that alone makes them head and shoulder above most of the rest of the gaming companies. now ppl wanna bitch about ingame items that have nothing to do with a level playing field... |
