Originally posted by lomiller And the difference is that you can do a pickup raid but having it be successful is another thing. So there are pickup raids for that stuff now, I been gone since May this year and still find it sad people can do these pickup raids but not come out with loots. Show me one pickup raid that comes out with loot from EOF content, mainly MMIS, FTH probably got easier since I left but I doubt pickup raiders are beating even that stuff. It takes allot of coordination and knowing each person and strats to do these raids, something pickup raids lack. I call BS either way that any pickup raid is clearing and getting loot out of these raids besides Labs. The whole point of my posts is about the loot and if you make a pickup raid and still can't get loot then it doesn't mean that pickup raids don't exists like what your trying to let me know. I know pickup raids exist, but there are none that are clearing this content. Perhaps a 20 player guild getting 4 outsiders can if they work well together but not a regular pickup raid. Cheldrak still has loot worthy of raiding, even with the release of EOF, you either do not know the loot table from cheldrak or your one of those pickup raiders who is ignorant in knowing what raids are good for loot upgrades. We cleared all EOF content and Avatars before I left and we still did Cheldrak because a few members had upgrades from some of the loot off him, he drops some really nice items. Most of our alts geared from these raids before I left as well.

As I understand it EQ2 was originally supposed to have a stretch to fit armor system to go over top of all the various skeletons in the game. This would have allowed many different skeletons and body shapes to all be accommodated by a single piece of armor. Unfortunately this never worked out, I’ve seen some suggestions that it was because of the serious clipping problem EQ2 armor had in beta. When the game went live armor designs had to be custom implemented for almost every race/sex in the game.
Currently, every set of armor they make needs to be redone over 50 times. This uses up memory and graphics memory as each of these 50 sets is treated as a different armor by the game engine and makes creating new armor and art a very slow process.
Under the new system, most races will use a common but flexible skeleton system. They are also enhancing it for appearance and tuning it for performance. For example the Sarnak in all the RoK video use the same skeleton as humans underneath the skin even though the two races don’t end up looking anything alike. In addition to making it easier to produce armor, and tuning for performance the new models have some other enhancements, like real fingers instead of “mitts”.

To QuietGamer: I think I love you for this post. Your first and it's bang on. My main is also a Templar (70) and yes she raids on and off, but I also enjoy running around collecting shinies and harvesting for rares. It's how I make my coin when I want to relax. I also drop down to my lower characters to group and have fun with levelling. It's not that hard to do, people! If you're not a social person to begin with or come off with a crap attitude, then finding nice guilds or groups or raids won't come easy. So stop your f'n whinging and go level already! Now if you'll excuse me, my main has a new outfit to pick out. :P _______ Now Playing: |

SOE is a retarded company, they should fix all the bugs instead of devoting resources into making expansion pack after expansion pack. I actually thought about coming back but now sure as hell I won't. Waiting for Age of Conan. |

Originally posted by bezado Just to let you know, they are doing the epics like Swords of Destiny. A legendary version for non raiders and a fabled epic for raiders so everyone can enjoy the epics is what they say. |
