WE LOVE YOU EN1GMA!

You heard right. As of today, SOE announced that Gods & Heroes will be cancelled until further notice.

As sad as that sounds... well, it is sad.

Atleast, this is the e-mail we got at EBGames today, from the head office.

Apparently in a long list of info that SOE sent to head office today, they said Gods and Heroes was cancelled.

I didn't even know Gods and Heroes was being published by SOE. I was so confused when I read this.

Anyone else know anything about it?

EDIT: I looked into it more, and it seems SOE does have involvement http://www.station.sony.com/pc.vm?sel=upcoming
I guess my info is not as wrong as it sounds. It's weird though, since we just got our pre-order boxes like last week.

Can you give the exact quote from the memo along with the origin at SOE that the memo came from?

Its just that its hard to belive that PE and or SOE would send a memo out like this without issuing a press release giving some sort of explination for an action so drastic.

Without a public statement from either, or both SOE and PE, it would be near impossible to prove a claim such as yours.

If it is true, we would no doubt hear an official statement within the next few days.

Why is this not mentioned on the official site?  I cannot believe they would cancel this game and allow a stinker like Vanguard to keep running.  Or that Pirates thing.  I've played or seen both betas, and G&H is far more polished than Pirates.  But neither one is great.

Frankly, I think they should cancel them all (G&H, Pirates, and Vanguard) and focus their marketing energies on a re-release of EQ.  It's got more to offer than all 3 of those others combined, and with an updated game engine it would easily be the best game on the market.

Lol i guess someone didnt tell Perpetual that since  the beta is going really strong still :P I think the OP needs to get his sources straight. Or maybe SoE is no longer the publishing partner with Perpetual ( which is prolly a good thing IMO )

Besides that lol G@H is stil doing good atm.

Well, this is a fairly serious prank if the OP is simply trolling. If he is trolling, don't be surprised if the thread gets deleted and to the OP, don't be shocked if you get banned.

SoE is publishing G@H and PotBS , NOT developing it so the most SoE can do is cancel their publishing contract with the developers of these games, its up to the developers if the games are going to be cancelled. Vanguard is a different story because they bought sigil's assests several months AFTER the game launched.

Its good to know the facts sometimes before making blanket statements .

I think only the developer, aka Perpetual Entertainment, can cancel G&H.  Also, G & H is on the upcoming games list and furthermore, you can actually pre-order G & H from the link you provided.

I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.
