Hey boys and girls

Im looking for a new mmo and I was wondering if you could help me in case anyone happens to know about a game that is close to my "criterias". I would absolutely love it if the game is still new or even in BETA stage.

- One race, only humans. No fractions, every one starts out equal

- Sci. fi enviroment

- No auto aim.

- Both skill and gear based PVP.  Not Class based like say wow.  Main reason I dont like WOW is becuase of the PVP system in game. You have anti-classes and PVP is a lot like paper, scissors and rock. If you play as a priest you just know a warlock will rip you to pieces and so on.

- PVP areas, all vs all.

- Adult community.

- No level cap or level, based on character skills

- Montly fee is ok

No one knows about any games?

Or is the post too long for anyone to read it?

could wait for darkfall i do believe its going in beta this year if there not lieing in them dev journals XD we will find out very soon if its done right it will put all these other mmorpgs to shame XD

thats if the features promised are in according to them they are So we just have to wait and see : )

Your post is not too long, I believe what you're looking for doesn't exists yet.

What comes closest would be EVE online except for the auto aim part, you should give it a try! Also there are "races" but they don't really impact the game.

Ive been looking at Darkfall a little bit -only thing that seems "wrong" with it is that I really hoped my next game would move away from the fantasy genre. But it does have a lot of things that is already on my wishlist.

About my original post, yes it was way too long. After I edited it I actually got some repsonses!

scifi: Check.
No Auto-Aim..eh... ...
Skill and Geabased.. kinda..
PvP: Lots.
Adult Community: Average age of 27 is enough?
No Levelcap: Sorta..
Monthly Fee: YES! :P

Eve-Online might be it, mostly because of the very adult community. Im sure you would like it.
It might not be the mmo for you, because its very different, confusing, harsh, openpvp and cruel to newbies. (not the community, the world and gamedesign is cruel)
And it does not have a goal ready for you, no storyline to follow and no quests that are attached to any kind of greater story-arc. Its a sandbox, not a rollercoaster.

(The Devs are cool though. You can see them posting on the official forums, idling and chatting in irc and drooling over new spiffeh yarrrdware for their servercluster (referred as either yammsters or hamsters for some strange reason. dont ask me, they are icelanders, and icelanders are obviously a bit...different..)

Thanks for you reply. EVE is a pretty old game isnt it? I dont mind working for my skills etc, but my experience is that it can be impossible to play in the "big leauge" (pvp wise) if you start a game that has been around too long. Anyway. Im gonna go to the website and read a little.

 

Oh that game I wish for do exist, only you litterally have to be loaded to play it. If you can afford to piss away money like there is no tomorrow, Entropia Universe is out there with all the features. But seriosly, you have to be stinking rich. Im not.

Okay, gonna check out EVE. I dont mind being slaughtered as a newbie as long as there is hope for me to actually get to that point as some stage. :P

Eve is pretty old, yes. But looking at 2003-Players and what ships they can fly wont help you there..

With its rock-paper-scissors-particleblasters-system you can be usefull very early and without much skillpoints and money and fight together with others. older players mostly can only fly a greater diversity of ships and have the advantage of some percent more damage or simply the advantage of knowing the game better. thats it.

The problems start when you look at the old players and feel left behind because they fly expensive ships and ignoring the fact that you have quite some nice ships too ;)

Oh, and extremely important: JOIN A CORPORATION! Preferrably a corporation that will take you to pvp-events and gives you some ships to start with. Eve is a big social game. you will die of boredom if you stay alone..
