Redneck Zombies was filmed in my hometown....

The Pirate Movie pwned!    Well, it did in '85 or whenever it came out.

Worst movie ever was this one.  Roommate in college had me watch it...you have to put down a $80 deposit to make sure the movie got returned to the rental store.  Every second was dreadfully horrible, I should have walked away.  I wanted to gouge my eyes with knitting needles and go into exile:

The second worst:

Followed by The Legend of Billy Jean and Nell.

I've actually got all of you beat.  I got this movie a few years ago when I was working at an advertising company.  We got free DVD screeners and this happen to be one of the movies I picked up.  This movie may not count though since it was never released in theaters (though at one point it must of been considered since there is a poster that was released with a theater release date).

URBAN MENACE

Starring Snoop Doggy Dogg

Here's a little review that might help out on how bad this movie is.  Though this movie is actually so bad it becomes quite hilarious.

A fantastic home video comedy that unfortunately thinks it's a serious film. This is quite simply the most incoherent piece of nonsense ever to come to DVD. No I'm not going to call it a film because it isn't one as it was shot on digital video and has a look which resembles video captured from a digital camera with Pyun's trademark blue filter. In all honesty though, it's not as unwatchable as Crazy Six and the dialogue, the acting, the editing and the fact that you'll probably have no clue as to what is going on makes this absolutely hilarious to watch, especially with the commentary track.

What this video (not, it's not a film) resembles is a home video of a bunch of idiots running around an empty building with paintball guns pretending to be gangsta and going completely over the top with their dialogue and using the f word at the end of every second word. I had no idea who was the good guys or who was the bad guys, if there were any good guys that is. The acting is hilarious, especially Big Pun's mumbling and fact that he's obviously reading off cue cards behind camera. This is one of the worst performances I've ever seen, rivalling only Anna Nicole Smith in Skyscraper and Mario Van Peebles in Exterminator 2. A good 80% of the dialogue consists of the words "f*ck", "motherf*cker" and "n*gger".

Probably the funniest thing is that Albert Pyun comes completely clean about how bad this video is in the commentary. He admits that several members of the cast never met and were edited together to make it look like they were in conversation which is funny, because that is exactly what it looks like. Something which I have suspected he has done in several of his films. He also admits that one of the characters running around in black is actually Snoop Dogg's stunt double and not him, which is necessary if for a second you thought of trying to make the tiniest bit of sense out of this nonsense, because I had no idea this was even meant to be him as it could quite easily have been one of the many gang members. Snoop Dogg was only there for a limited amount of time, he also tells us in case we hadn't already guessed that. Being the first billed character, his face only flashes on and off a few times and then appears at the end, and his stunt double fills in for the rest and believe me, if you don't listen to the commentary you probably won't even realize that the stunt double is supposed to be him. He also tells us that several scenes were the same corridors we saw earlier, just with all the factory mess rearranged and shot in the opposite direction which is exactly what it looks like!

There's also plenty of continuity errors. Such as how did this preacher become so skilled with weapons? In one scene he takes out what I counted to be 17 people in a corridor and apparently has eyes on the back of his head. While viewing it I noticed that one of them even collapses without being shot at in the sea of falling bodies. I could go on and on but it would take all day, so for now I'll just point out the church with the laughable CGI flames!

The acting of Big Pun is really the only highlight. Here you have a person who is so fat that his talk turns into a mumble. This makes it impossible to grasp what he is saying.

If you like seeing "filmmaking" at the very bottom end of the spectrum then I seriously recommend you to check out this. Honestly, if enough people see this I think it could be come a Grade Z classic in the future, it has all the makings of it. This video is a joke, nothing more, nothing less and if you have a sense of humour, then this DVD is a lot of fun! There is just simply no way to take this seriously, and the fact that those involved seem quite unaware of it only adds to it.

Oh, and there's a "Disclaimer" from Ice-T at the start but don't worry, much of the stuff he says in that doesn't even happen in the film...

The Postman. I can't remember much, but it was dreadful & dreadfully long. Worst of all I don't think he even delivered a letter, what a sham.

**Edit: Honourable mention to Killa Season, the movie Camron made. Oh my what a joke, I tend to like bad movies that make it funny, but this was too much.

I was gonna say Gigli....I was disappointed it was only #55 on this list:

BOTTOM 100 MOVIES

Battlefield Earth got the most votes, but it is not #1...

Return of the Killer Tomatoes is a cult classic

Battlefield Earth did suck, but I can think of a number of worse movies.

Gods and Generals... it was like watching a prayer group, not a movie.  I walked out.

Battlefield Earth is a close second.

It is hard for me to choose a "Worst Movie" mainly because I don't go see or watch bad movies. Sometimes one will slip through but almost always at home where I can stop watching it very easily. But, Ghost Rider was pretty god aweful, and Christmas with the Kranks was also so unbelievably awkward it was damn hard to watch.

Some of the ones listed in this thread have me shaking my head however.

Personally I loved The Postman, and though Waterworld was not a "good" movie, it was a hell of a lot of fun to watch and I actually enjoyed it more than I remembered when I recently bought and watched it.

I also recently saw The Shooter and loved every second of it. A bit far-fetched, sure, but a damn good movie just the same. Personally, I enjoy most everything with Wahlberg in it.

Gods and Generals was bit dull I'll admit, but it sure beat the hell out of watching a History Channel documentary. I expected it to be more educational than entertaining and was actually pleasantly surprised to find it kept my interest throughout. As for being too religious, I don't see that at all. Stonewall Jackson was supposed to be a religious fanatic, and so they were just making him "real". If you want to see a "religious" movie, rent Facing the Giants. Or better yet, don't.

George of the Jungle was a bit of a family favorite around my house. Even now that I am older I greatly enjoy it. I also knew how over-the-top it was going to be going into it, and I was 12. Of course, being Over-The-Top is what made it so much fun to watch.

As for Earthsea, yeah it was poor, but compared to all other Sci-Fi made for tv movies(Especially that piece of shit Highlander they just crapped out), it wasn't so bad.

Lastly, Pauly Shore. Yes his movies are almost all bordering bad, with the exception of Son-In-Law, but I still enjoyed them and found them to be, again, fun to watch. Maybe Pauly Shore isn't very funny, but sticking him in a scene makes all the other actors around him pretty funny. There are a lot of good forgettable movies, but Bio-Dome, Jury Duty, In the Army Now, and Encino man are all movies you remember. To me, that makes them too worthy to be considered "The Worst Movie(s) Ever".

Anyway, I just felt I should defend a few of the ones thrown out there that I quite enjoyed growing up.

To get a better sense of how I am calibrated when it comes to my taste in movies, my top 5 are:

Forrest Gump, Interview with the Vampire, Shawshank Redemption, Starship Troopers, and Gladiator.

So you have to admit I do have taste.

Queen of the Damned.  From the terrible acting, to not following the book.  Hell, they couldn't even get the main character's hair color right, let alone anything else about him.

Worst movie evar I'd say something by Ed Wood, etc. like everyone does. But most overrated is a more interesting question to me. I'll go with two movies it was impossible to like unless you were born with female genitalia between your legs.

Pearl Harbor
Titanic

I'd have to go with Bad News Bears (the remake) or The Benchwarmers. The benchwarmers was just a horrible attempt to recreate Napolean Dynamite, which is sad considering it had the same actor. Bad News Bears just ruined the original for me with how bad it was. Now best movie i would have to say V For Vendetta ftw.

What the hell was that? I couldent watch the trailer, it was soooooo bad. The Gymkata trailer i could watch.

So this must be a winner.

You had to be from that era to appreciate it. Kristy McNichol was like the most beautiful woman in the world to a kid in those days and yes we liked musicals with beautiful melodies and choral arrangements. She was like an icon. She puts Britney Spears to shame. IMO what your missing is the innocence of that time. I mean this precedes Grunge and gangsta rap.  We had love in our hearts and belief in all the best for the future. This movie in some ways reflected those hopes, dreams and beliefs for what could be.

...but as for the topic at hand, I remember when you couldn't have a worst 100 movies list without Ishtar, but I personally think Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song  was THE worst movie I've ever seen, bar none.

Cat Woman. I only watched that for the sexy Halie Berry. Nothin else. That movie was terrible. It's awsome she won an award for it though.
