Solo a good while, but if you are in a master pilots ship shooting off turrets at lvl 5's your golden within a day normally, or atleast used to be. |

Where's a good place to find Master Imperial Pilots for doing turrets? Do they hang out at certain places? Is there a chat channel for pilots, like say on Bria, for finding help? |

Doesnt take long at all... Get the ent buff for exp go to kashykk and fight the merc ships that come three together. Takes a bit of practice staying under the lead ships wing cause thats the blind spot. IF you can get a couple of novice pilots together doing that it goes sooo quick. takes about 2-3hrs to get a mill exp by yourself that way. Good luck |

the only real difficult part is the corvette mission. It is soloable but i would recommend getting another ace pilot friend to help you out |

Well it really depends on 'your' skill level as a Pilot (I'm talking Player Skill, not Toon Skill) and what Squadron your doing. First things first, Imperial Pilot is a bit harder, well it was up till Rage of the Wookiee's... Most Imperial Ships just don't have the mass or firepower that Rebel and Freelance ships have. Most of the ships you'll find are one gun fighters that can move kinda nice, but well again there's Mass to think about. First things first pick up a High Mass TIE Fighter, believe me you will need it. That 95k Mass helps out alot and will allow you to put bigger and better parts on the ship. For parts you'll want to stick to player made Engines, Armor, Shields and a Droid Interface. Gun's and Reactors you'll want to get RE'd. Believe me even a RE Level 7 gun can pack a nice punch vs NPC Fighters. Anyhow here's what I would do, for grinding hit Kashyyyk Space and look for the Merc Trasports flying around the Space Station. There will be 3 of them, one will be armed with 3 guns that you can knock out, the other two are unarmed. And all 3 of them give a nice amount of XP. The one with the guns has a blindspot with the guns, it's easy to spot. Fly into that blindspot, target the guns and open fire. If your really low level, it will take a bit of time. However once the guns are gone feel free to fly back a little, blast away untill it blows. The other two are easy, fly in back of them, shoot. Now around Tier 4 you will want to start doing the Kashyyyk Station Quests, and the Eta-2 Quest. The Eta-2 is kinda painless to get, most of it is a ground mission. Easy to do and you net yourself a nice little fighter. The Kashyyk Station Quests can be a tad harder, tell the truth you should pick up an Eta-2 or the Belbullab-22 (You can find the Belbullab-22 cheap) and use that. The Kashyyk Station ends with a Corvette, why do this? You get a good fighter out of it, and it shows you the main idea on how to take a Vette down. Just take out the Fighter Spawn, then do a Fly-by going after Gun Number 5. Grinding at this point you have a few picks, Kessel isn't too bad. Just stick with Y-Wings, X-Wings and B-Wings and you should be fine, A-Wing's can be a little hard tho. There's also the Evil Raider Spawn in Endor, it's a ton of Tier 3's however, they drop good loot now and then and are nice big targets. Also the Dath Station offers a few nice Imperial Duty Missions for Tier 4 Rebel Ships. So you can gain Xp and GCW at the sametime, great if your working your ranks up. Still the one big thing I will tell you is not to rush it. Read up on the Missions and what you will be facing, ask for help from other Pilots when needed, and learn how to lead... |

Can a newbie pilot probably solo that part in Kashyyyk space? |

Originally posted by DrWalnutAs long as you take your time, keep in mind of everything going on around you. Then yes a newbie Pilot could... However... If your going to fly in Gun's Blazing, well... Your going to watch you ship turn into a fireball a good number of times. |

Umm..excuse me..but how can you get anywhere let alone master pilot when there's no one in space. Come to think of it, there's no one on the ground either. In order to do this you need others with you and I think that's pretty hard to do when space is a virtual ghost town. Only time there was any traffic in space was when space first came out. Now? Forget it. SWG space is very nice in appearance. The missions are terrible. You begin a mission, spend an hr or more on it, you're killed, now you have to go get the mission once again. Like with the missions you got where Vader is in Naboo I believe it is. You have to fly there then go all the way to where he is on bike which is a distance away. You have to keep doing this over and over again. Very tiring and very boring. You do this no matter what mission it is or where you got it on the ground. Unless you have access to Vaders place directly from your ship then it becomes easier but still the problem many players complained about was the length of missions and the having to start from the start each time. No wonder space was abandoned so quick. Much faster then the ground game and I never though the ground game would be abandoned as it has been as fast as it has either and we all know how the masses fled when this new game they still called SWG came out. |

sololoco not quite sure what the rambling was about but obviously you have a great distaste for the game. I am on Bria and there is a huge space economy and people who are always space pvping. Maybe it might have been the server you were on where people avoided space, which could just happen by trend, and people who liked space migrated to other servers. |

Maybe it was the server I was in that space was empty? Hummmm...Nope! You've been here since '04, so I'm sure you've read the countless number of postings from players and mainly ex-players who frequently complained of space being deserted. Actually, it's not just space itself but the servers themselves that are deserted. Only time there was really any traffic was at it's release. This isn't anything new, it's a well known fact servers have long been dead. I liked space in galaxies a lot but the mission system was or still is terrible. Many complained about it being deserted, they also let it be known the mission system was really bad. You can call it rambling, I call it facts. And as I just stated, you've been here long enough to of read the hundreds of thousands of complaints from people who played this game. And not just in these forums but in the gaming world as well. I feel to stand there and defend something so many others have long stated how bad it really is, is better suited to be called "rambling" then anyone else stating the obvious. |

Originally posted by sololoco Well you got me there. The quest systems are absolutely terrible. I've only ever dealt with pvp really once I was done grinding. Never used space as a way for income (Though bringing people to kashyyyk making myself master looter and letting them lvl used to be very profitable. I suppose if you go outside the group of constant pvpers and don't know their space times it would probly seem empty so shrug. I have been playing galaxies on and off now since day one. Lots of patches I liked and lots that I have disliked causing my vacation from the game, but the fact is I love the Star Wars theme so I come back just to craft some times and see how much cash I can make though the NGE nerfed the hell out of crafters till recently. Yeah I was trollin these forums prior to 04 so I have seen a lot of good and bad about this game and others, but owell. |
