Hi guys finally looking into getting a new build and i know there can be alot of posts about these but i would appreciate any help or guidance you knowledgable people can give.  Here is my build and some of my comments:

Tower:

Cooler Master Mystique 631, Black Aluminium, Window (Without PSU)
or
Cooler Master Mystique 632, Black Aluminium (Without PSU

not sure between these two. I think aesthetics wise i prefer the older version and some people have said the newer one can get quite cramped. I think i am set on the first one unless some people highlight some blazing errors.

CPU:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz Socket LGA775, 8MB

again pretty set on this, i do quite alot of editing so i know the quad core will be worth it over the D 6850

Power:

Thermaltake Toughpower 850W, Modular, 8xSATA, ATX/EPS, 4xPCI-E, 20/24pin

this could be seen as a little OTT but i might get SLi in the future so the extra power might come in handy.

Motherboard:

Asus P5N-E SLI, nForce-650i SLI, ATX, Socket-775, GbLAN, DDR2, 2xPCI-Ex16

This is one i have no idea about. Dont pretend to know that much about motherboards. Would appreciate an insight.

Memory

Corsair TWIN2X 6400 DDR2, 4096MB CL5, Kit w/two matched CM2X2048-6400 Dimm's
or
OCZ Platinum DDR2 PC8000 2048MB KIT, w/two 1024MB PC8000 XTC, CL5-5-5-15,

Not whether the 4GB of slightly slower ram would be as good as 2GB of the faster ram which are around the same price, any ideas?

Graphics:

XFX GeForce 8800GTX 570M 768MB GDDR3, PCI-Express, 2xDVI/HDTV/HDCP, 384-bit

unfortunately i dont have the time to wait around for the new card but i have played on these and they seem great, especially in Sli.

Hard Drive:

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 750GB SATA2 16MB 7200RPM

Hope i have not missed anything important, but once again thanks for any advice that you can share!

Looks quite solid build.

The only problem i see with that rig, is the harddrive. Get a Raptor disc, or 2 and put them in Raid. Read something about it here: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2007/06/11/understanding_raid/1
And then buy a cheap larger harddrive for storing other none-gaming files.

I would also probably stick with an Enermax PSU rather than Thermaltake, by personal experience, and because it is the most reliable PSU maker out there.

Oh yeah, and get a Sound Card, unless you have one from an older rig.
