Well......I quit this game after playing for 3 months since beta and leveling up to 50 on the FFA server. I quit due to the lack of content, class imbalance and rampant cheatin. I have not play for 3 months.

I  gave the game another go yesterday and today and heres how it went.

First i had to change names due to the server merge, little disappointed but no big deal. I logged on and immediately noticed 2 things. One ,the performance of the game is awesome in comparison to before, Two, the server is empty (sartok). I finally found someone to pvp with after about 30 mins of wandering around Khal. Attacked him and got completly decimated....i also noticed the guy was warping around. Asked someone about it and they identified that as some hack that i wont mention the name of. Also found out that the servers pvpers mere mostly cheaters like the one that i ran into. Right then and there i knew i wouldnt be coming back to the game......i just cant deal with the cheating.

On the plus side they made it easier to get around by adding riftways all across the map and i also flew on a griffin for the first time which was a nice experience. The graphics are just as awesome as before and its quite enjoyable to walk around the and see the world.

Unfortunately thats about all there is to do in the game. I dunno maybe its different on the PvE servers but i doubt it cuz theres barely any content. Sorry vanguard not this time and probably never again.

There is and always has been content for those that don't rush through the game. I have all 8 character slots full and my highest character is 38 and I have been playing since prelaunch and have had not problems with content.

You posting appear th say all you wish to do is PvP. Sorry you are having a hard time with this. Have you done the /switchserver coomand to request for you one time move to go the other server? Have you looked into which server may suite you?

When you have made these efforts then comment until then please post else where.

I was talking about the FFa pvp server....The only thing that interests me about an MMO is its pvp.

Never meant for my post to be a flame so dont get all defensive about it. However as it stands the pvp server is in shambles and i dont even like the pve in the game enough to try a /switchserver.

but anyways.....go back to your game im glad someone enjoys it.

Your reasons are valid, cas' the pvping on Sartok is an after thought to bring players who enjoy pvping into the game. SOE is working on dealing with these hacks/cheaters, and in time, it will resolve itself but that's not a priority at this point. The pvping in Sartok, is just one of the others things to do, like crafting, diplo, etc. It sux you had a bad experience. I have no problems getting ganked or finding players to pvp with when the need is there. My enemy list grows daily. Remember not all players are in the mood to pvp, and they're occupied with other things. If you really wanted to pvp you should of just shouted out a challenge on the main channel, I'm certain you'll get some response. I do feel massive pvping does come in waves, sometimes everyone is getting attacked by some group and sometimes it's silent, but never for too long, either way.

As far as content, you only came back and played 2 days, how can you make a reasonable judgement. If you were playing your lvl 50, it may be lacking, yes, but no content, hmm. You may want to try again with Update #3 which is focused on raiding content for higher lvls. Or reroll a new char/alt, you may have a much better experience. Sometimes it's good to start from the bottom, then from the top.

Either way, I hope you find what your looking for.

Yes i know they are refurbishing ancient port warehouse with update 3.....but seriously 8 months???  how could you release a game without a full raid dungeon. As for rolling an alt...im just one of those players that likes to focus on just one character, other than that im sure theres tons of content for leveling up........as a matter of fact from what i remember, leveling my 50 was one of the most enjoyable leveling experiences ive had in an mmo. So sure if you like having 8 alts than i suppose Vanguard could be the game for you but the endgame is simply terrible.

Like i said this is the third time ive come  back to the game since i quit....i have TRIED to like this game but i cant do it anymore sorry. I am seriously saddened by what has happened to the game. So much potential gone to waste. But theres always the future to look foward to and its good to see people are still working on the game. Unfortunately too many people have been let down already and if the game is restored to its true splendor it will only be enjoyed by a very small fraction of the mmo community. But honestly i wont deny ive had some really good times playing the game and every once in a while i even felt that old EQ feeling everyone knows very well of. It just very rarely happens.

I feel your pain. Vanguard wasn't ready to be released, and needed another year. And they lost many customers cas' of it. Customers vote with their money, and shouldn't pay for something their not getting any value. I think you should of read up on the updates/info before you resubscribed, cas' it would of save you some pain, cas' you would of been better off waiting and resubbing when UD#3 is live, since end-game content was what you were looking for (major run-on). It's sounds like your stuck to just your main, but you could create a new char, and just make him your main. You did say you enjoyed your lvling exp to 50. I left cas' of population, and now resubbed when the server merge went live, I'm happy to be back. Also, My main is only lvl 31, I take time to lvl (casual gamer), and by the time I reach lvl 50, Update #3 should be ready (i'm not saying they should cater to players just like me, but to every type of player). But most players lvl faster, and got that feeling of "What now?" And if your not into Crafting or Diplo, then frustration set in. This game is not in a state for powergamers right now, in about a 6 months it will be. Many, like you, won't be back, but many will. The player base that's there now are enjoying all the many features, diversities, & optiions that Vangaurd has, for ex,. getting ready their homes, guild halls, boats, lvls, mounts, crafted items, loot, etc. But there's no doubt SOE has much work ahead them. But in the end, just think of it as still in open beta. And let these other players pay for it, and then you reap the benefits down the line, when it's a reasonable finished product. An mmo is an evolving game. Again, I understand tho, if your patience has expired.

I dont even know what that is and i wont ask either. I just guess i was one of the minority left that didnt cheat on that server.

I guess you don't pvp?  it's a speed/teleport hax (2342423x better than chromo) that allows ppl to teleport to anywhere, altars, custom waypoints etc.  I've seen tons of ppl using in on sartok lately.  (Soulblighter - Ebonlore sorc is one of those vgbuddyfans.).
