Koreans are funny.  You see, they can do the same thing over and over for hours, days, weeks, months, years, and not even notice.  In fact, they embrace it, and consider accomplishment to be the fruits of hard work.  This can be a good thing, especially in business.  Koreans are hard workers to the core, and this is reflected in the games that come out of their country.

In my case, however, all work and no play makes a dull MMO.

Anyway, I tried RF.  I went through the basic steps:

Step 1)  Acquire potions, and use one.  Is the cooldown shorter than 30 seconds?  Check.

Step 2)  Open your skills list.  Do you have 3-4 skills which all seem to do pretty much the same thing?  Check.

Step 3)  Do you have to click somewhere on the ground to move?  (Hot damn I hate this control style)  Check.

Step 4)  Actually read the quests, and tutorials.  Does the writing sound like a two year old?  Check!

RF Online is in the same realm as Ragnarok Online, ArchLord, 2Moons, and all the other eastern-made potion-popper grindfests.  I honestly can't believe this game was ever pay-to-play.  Then again, I did beta test ArchLord, and said the same thing then.

So, what about now that it's free?

To be honest, this game is a pretty good distraction for those who are boredom-plagued, flat broke and between jobs, like myself.  While it is in the same realm as afformentioned typical korean MMOs, it's at least better than all of the rest so far.  For a free game, it is good, and I think I'll continue playing for a while, at least until my budget's not so tight.  One thing I did particularly like was that quests come to you; no picking them up, or turning them in.  I also like the character models, even if they could use more customization.  I did have a few questions though.

First, what is CCC?  I'm slightly intrigued by it; what level should one be before trying it out?

At what level does grouping become beneficial?

Is there anything I should know about the Warrior class before I get too far into it and it becomes too late to switch?
