One of the posters stated that they now play lineage 2 and will continue to do so over WAR. Correct me if I'm wrong but none of the "assassins" in Lineage 2 had stealth either... So when you say you won't play 1 game due to lack of stealth yet you play another with no stealth, it makes for labeling you a hypocrite. When I played DAoC I chose my skald over my stealther for going where I wanted, and ganked people when they were engaged or low health. I did this with speed, and with minor crowd control. I found stealthers too be too slow to move effectively and I survived longer. This whole need for omnipotence of yours to go where you want, how you want, and kill low health people or who are engaged with a mob lead me to think you have no spine. This supreme need of yours to be spoonfed instead of taking it like a man. No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga- |

I play a stealther cause i like to roleplay a thief or rogue...lol wtf does this have to do with pvp mechanics? No offesne but now i know why I never played warhammer the board game, cause its a lame fantasy game that triees to be different than the rest. Which it fails at miserably by the way WOW will not lose many subscriptions to warhammer. Warhammer is a game that will only appeal to people between the ages 22-30 firstmost, second it is a game that will be a simplified version of DAOC. |

Originally posted by StevenTheRocTwo of the biggest killers in DAoC were stealthers and CC. Ranged stealthers were hated in DAoC because it was considered a cheap kill. Back when DAoC first came out you would get ranged stealthers ganking anyone who went through the RvR gates... one reason they put in BGs. As a shadowblade you were not a ranged stealther but it is idiotic to make "from my perspective" posts. I don't think a ganker would say "ganking sucks... I mean I kill all these people without any accountability... I think that is so unfair!"
Again... you have had your say and since the Devs will not change this... move along. -Atziluth- - Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity. |

well i don't know who convinced you that it is the only thing that makes a game fun. but i guess different strokes for different folks. and 1/3 of all players play rogues? thats a lot. say wow had 3 million rogues only 6 million ppl left to be the 8 other classes? seems unlikely to me. die. <3 |

the majority of wow players were stealthers at one point look it on the statistics. |

Originally posted by StevenTheRocI think you just proved yourself to be 15. Warhammer has probably been around longer then you have been alive. It has a long a distinguished history being one of the most dominant table top games ever. It was the basis on which the whole warcraft universe was founded. Your pathetic attempts to some how discredit the game is comical because of your ignorance to its history. Please do some research before coming on here trying to troll. Again you have stated this game is not for you... you can move along any time. -Atziluth- - Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity. |

I personally like this mechanic of no stealth. My biggest problem with stealth was. Oo your running in front of me.. Whoops now your invisible.. yeah thats gonna happen. A real Thief and Rogue do not have insta stealth, they hide in the shadows or in groups of people to remain unseen. Walking around totally invis is just dumb to me. If they had some sort of stealth mechanic that would be able to tell how much light was hitting you and you could go the ways of Splinter Cell and things. Think of assassins creed, that assassin isn't stealthed, he hides in crowds, or in barrels or whatever. Metal Gear solid is another good example of a rouge / theif / assassin archetype. If they implement it that way I'm down. If they made some sort of Gillie suit for the assassins that'd be cool. ---------------------- |

Originally posted by StevenTheRoc LMAO... I beta tested SB, played for a year after it was released... I also play right now. You honestly think assassins are underpowered or thieves now that they had poisons added? Aricoix scouts are pretty brutal too. Really which build were you? High def, mage proc? I hate to school you son, but you are clueless. I also have played UO, AC Darktide, EVE, DAoC, AO, WoW, and several others... I have beta tested most of the ones I listed and will school you on them all day long if you want. WoW has to be one of the most carebear PvP games out there yet your whole basis of argument revolved around it at the start.
As to my PvP skill... you can guess all you want... that does not change the truth to the points I made. It can easily be argued that someone who relies around invisibility is much more of a carebear. Your complete dependence on one ability just shows your lack of skill. Play your rogue without going invisible and I will respect your PvP skills, until then you are just a wannabe. -Atziluth- - Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity. |
