My roommate just showed me the two movies on the NCSoft site for this game and I have to say I was basicaly insta-hooked.  I'm so tired of all the MMO's that are just reskins of the same thing, this one looks like it could actually be unique.  I just hope it lives up to the massive hype it's getting, I refuse to get my hopes up THAT high (never a good idea judging on past experiences) but I'm still willing to give this game a little more hope than most.

My biggest 'happy moment' was seeing that the gameplay looks like it will be 'twitch' based similar to Phantasy Star Online instead of the normal standing around and pushing your buttons, then waiting for it to go off.  With the massive dissapointment Phantasy Star Universe dropped into my lap this game is easily my most anticipated game of '08 so far.  Well, that and Diablo 3...if it ever comes out.

Aye, got hooked after the movies aswell, but I'de wait with really becoming enthousiastic until we get more in-depth information about the game, gameplay and everything that comes along with it. So far they've been quite conservative towards that, except for the PvPvE thing we really haven't heard a lot.

Is the delay in korea gonna effect the release here in the US?

Uhm.. that sure came out of nowhere. I don't see a single thing with Aion that reminds about Archlord, except from possibly the setting influences (fantasy). Aion graphics will be far superior, the concepts and art-direction amazingly inventive and from the looks of it - gameplay with longevity in a mostly persistent world, something which Archlord could never offer.

I'm very excited about this game as well. Not only does this look more visually stunning than any mmo I've seen so far, but the game play looks to be promising and it really looks like ncsoft is striving for the western market on this one. I can't wait, but I know I have to.

I have to agree joeshmoe, looks like they are aiming west on this one.

I am also very excited on the pvp aspect of this game, and so far in my mmorpg adventures I have not been much on pvp.

Anyone have any idea of when this game will be released?

Looking for a pvp mmo id suggest looking into war, because I doubt this game's silly pvp could hold a candle to WAR's rvr, not to praise it or anything, because it isnt out yet. But im pretty sure war's pvp will be better than a bunch of girly flying asian elf things.

And the graphics are good but it aint anything to get a bone over, EQ2 has great graphics but alot of people hate it.

If you think WAR is a WoW ripoff you are highly uneducated in the game and its preposed mechanics or youre just plain ignorant. And apparently there are ton of people that are looking forward to it because of its rvr.

And about the elf thing, i didnt look close enough to see if they had elf ears or not, so they aint elfs, theyre still extremely girly looking asians.

I'm very excited about it as well. It has everything I've been looking for in an MMORPG.

WAR really can't be a WoW ripoff, I've seen the game before beta.  WAR has a longer running history/content than Warcraft's history.
