Oh and spare me the comments on how making a game appealing is "selling out to the lowest common denominator". As much as I hate Blizzard, their decision to allow female druids was one of their best for WoW.
Also, ITT, sexist comments, gender stereotypes, generalization of WoW players and myopic views. For shame in this day and age. |

Unless you meant post-NGE. (or am I missing your point) Oh yea and what is ITT? Its not coming to me. Depending on how nerdy you are to the IP, changing the IP to fit in gaps for gameplay is a fine line. |

I am very happy that only some classes can be male. That's just how the tabletop game is. I'm not saying that the MMO and tabletop should be exactly equal, but I am very happy GW is keeping an eye on things. An important part to games, for me, is the story. There is really no need to go an rewrite the Warhammer story, just use the 20+ years of material. I would call a foul if there was female orcs; it wouldn't even make sense to me. I also hope if they add some races, that the characters that can only be female, cannot be made male in the MMO. I like the GW fluff, and have been involved with their world since 1985. I hope EA-Mythic just uses the world and only makes small changes keeping the true spirit of the world in place. <edit: fixed some spelling errors and completed a thought> |

Personally I think more choices will always make players happier. Female dwarfs? Go for it, it means more variety. Female Marauders? Same thing. Perhaps Mythic made the choice for two male-only Chaos classes to counter two future female-only classes with the Dark Elves? But one could then argue that the Black Orcs and Choppas are much more masculine in appearance (yes, I know they're just bloodthirsty mushrooms) and that would provide two male-like classes without any possible gender choice. I don't think there was any need to extend the restrictions to Chaos.

Originally posted by ImpyrielI believe the zealot class is loosely based of of 40K chaos fanatics, It appears that way anyways. I think they should have went with a beastmen class. Give chaos 2 DPS classes in exchange for no healer class. Chaos has always been about getting in your face and beating you down. I cannot picture anyone on the chaos side healing troops... It is a survival of the fittest mentality... death culls the weak and healing does not fit in to the IP very well.
For the record many people that like male only chosen and marauders also hate the fact that they allowed female dwarf and sigmar priests. To the post about the best tank they knew in WoW was female... that is great... no reason a female player cannot play a male character... we certainly know it works in reverse. -Atziluth- - Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity. |

Originally posted by ImpyrielYour not a noob at all. If that is the inspiration for the zealot it is a loose interpretation at best... I would have rather seen more unique flavors to the armies then the standard 4 arch types... Dwarves - no females heavy on melee with higher resistances to magic and physical attacks. Orks - pretty on par with IP and fine as they are. Chaos - Heavy armor, beastmen, no healing, high dmg. Remove zealots. Empire - no female priests! Otherwise fine as they are. Elves - high magic, moderate armor/dmg... good archers. Dark Elves - No male magic users. Light armor, fast moving, high dmg.
Harder to balance... but I think the archtype method takes away from the flavor of WAR. -Atziluth- - Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity. |

Well Destruction has one race that doesn't HAVE females. Or males either, technically. So that's not a fair comparison. My personal take on the lack of female races is somewhat meh. If they open up a class to females to make there be more female characters running around, it's OK as long as they can find justification for it in the lore. From what I've read in this and other posts there is a precedence in most of these cases, though it is sketchy. As far as the lack of female characters (or male either) of a specific class due to lore, I'm OK with that. My understanding of some of the Chaos classes is that they did allow female members, so the lack therof seems less a lore issue and more something else. |

Originally posted by ImixZinz well they gave green skins Goblins and orcs to balance that out. And as for destruction their arnt many female Chosen and Marauders. Their are some, but its like a rare thing with the IP.
But does it make you women feel butch to be playing a male char or something? becuase most of the female chars on MMO's are just weird guys looking to get free stuff from some idiot.

This shit is getting really old... Everyone who want to have female greenskins/chaos say exacty why do you want them. But take in account a few facts: 1. They wont fit the lore. (and GW do care more about their universe than Mythic's MMORPG) 2. They'll be freaking ugly. (no big tits for ya) 3. They wont be femine in any way. 4. Reasonable answers please, not just stuff like "I want females coz I just want to".
p.s. answering this, you might find an anwer for yourself... IZI MODO?! Ha-ha-ha! |

Exactly, I pointed this out in another thread yesterday too. When you get two people in T6 or whatever (the identical gear). The person with the better management skills, eye-hand coordination, and reflexes is going to win. That is what skill is. Also I pointed out that in WoW Gear is more important than skill. So I sort of agree with you mcharj11. I agree to do "well" you just need gear. To be the "Best" you need both. |

that picture you posted misfit is a slaanesh warrior. the actual god of slaanesh has 2 (maybe 3?) pairs of breasts i dont recall. That very well could be a mutated MALE slaanesh warrior. All slaanesh models appear feminine. |
