I'm hoping that A) it's going to actually start tonight, when the servers come back online and not Thursday (which would be asinine), and B) that this is going to last longer than nine days somehow.

I suspect I will be wrong on both counts.

I really really want to test Tabula Rasa. But hey, that's way too much for me, specially because brazilian money is woth like half a dollar.

You can subscribe for just 1 month for 7 bucks. You have to manually search out that subcription price though - when you do it via the Tablua Rasa deal they automatically show you the 3 month and 1 year deals, trying to get you to pay more. I almost just did the 1 month, but I just subscribed for 3 months, since that's basically 1 month free. Hoping that Age of Conan will come to fileplanet before October 30th.

I expect that its 9 days of 24/7 access so they can get some serious load testing done well ahead of open beta, then back to the normal restricted testing schedule.

Once you are in the beta they only take you out for violating the NDA. But past that 9 days - expect the normal testing schedule of 2 days a week, plus the week-end from Friday night through to Sunday night.

This is why WoW's graphics engine is superior.  Any piece of &#$% can run it.  This is also why FPS games like CS and HL2 are very popular, low system requirements and optimized graphics engines.

Why would any MMO company follow in the footsteps of Vanguard, EQ2, AA, and soon to be AoC with ridiculous system requirements?  They always fail at getting high percentage of players.

Calm down Calm down, most of the people who got denied at first (Like me) just choose the wrong sound card type... All it took for them and me was a simple deletion of our cookies so that we could sign back up for the beta and then make the right sound card choice this time..

AND BTW  I CANT NOT FREAKING WAIT FOR TONIGHT!!!

Do i need to delet all cookies or can i just delete one ? Iam not on my pc and dont wanna delet them all can you or any one help me and say what cookie i need to delet.

I have had a fileplanet sub for quite a while and it is well worth the $50/year.  Best deal for PC gaming out there.  Special stuff like Tabula Rasa and Quake Wars just seals the deal.

I have to pat myself on the back here.  I was into Quake back in the late 1990's when quakeworld and gamespy were first being developed.  I tossed gamespy $15 for a lifetime membership way back then, never thinking how big they would become.  So now I still have full member access to all gamespy/fileplanet stuff for that one time charge 8)

Some seem a little confused about the fileplanet program.  This isnt full beta access, it's simply an extended "preview weekend".

Seems many didnt notice this part when signing up listed after the server schedule times.

                                    Server availability: August 9th - August 18th

Better off just spending the 5 bucks to preorder the game and get full access to the beta IMO.

I think that is the way the beta is currently set up for all beta testers.  Plus there is no such thing as a preorder beta access.

Not exactly sure what you are trying to say....you understand the current closed beta is not ending on August 18th for the closed testers as it is for those using this fileplanet access?  Far as the pre-order beta access umm...

Players who purchase the pre-order for Richard Garriott’s Tabula Rasa not only get a three-day head start on the live service, they also receive exclusive character emotes, exclusive in-game pets to accompany their characters, access to the beta test.

Granted, at this point it hasent been confirmed if the pre-orders that are now on shelves are only good for open-beta.  Which is what most get you into.  A number of sites are currently trying to confirm what strategic beta access even means.

Great info.  Thanks.  Now where to pre-order?
