I am an American and i have played Asian games and American games and EU games. Personally I like them all. It doesn't matter to me where they come from as long as they are fun as crap to play.

I highly doubt that 8 million number.  Maybe 8 million people have played or play MMO games, but the video game industry is huge in the US.  They showed that Blizzard makes 100 times more money in America on WoW then in all of China.  So really which market is better for their bottom line?

There are far more asian gamers then american true, but you forgot to point out most do not pay anything close to americans do for the games, or in subscription costs.  (go ahead goggle the price of say a wow sub in say china do the math with the currancy then compare it to what the average american pays in sub cost.) That is one of the reason the american market (evil crime mongering hate filled empire that we are  ) Is so important to most MMO companies.

It would seem then..that Americans are either mo0re into real life experiences and fun...or...FPS/RPG console games..huh?

Those figures are way off. I read an article recently that quoted approx 330 million Europeans and 270 million North Americans connect to the internet.

Admittedly connecting to the internet and playing online games is different but those figures quoted by the OP are way off.
