I am new to the boards and new to MMORPG gaming as well. I have played Runescape a couple of times and that is it. I have downloaded Voyage Century but have not played it as of yet. Could you tell me what are the best free MMORPG's for beginners that is easy to learn? Thanks Ashgraimthu

WoW, then EQ, hehe, trust me hmm...here's how my life in MMOs started started out playing a demo character on Clan Lord in 2002 or somethin (paying is not bad...i was just 9 then and unable to pay the fees) soon after i played a little bit of Runescape since friends in upper elementary were raving about it... in 2004 i moved to the WoW OB and soon after bought WoW...I played it for only about a year from late, late 2005 until about february or march this year i took an MMO break...I played Lineage and various f2p's...i went back to WoW i finally cancelled WoW about 2 weeks ago and moved to EQ and tried UO...not for me...EQ's pretty fun but i don't feel as if i'll stay with it long... now i search the internet looking for an MMO that's worth playing (and/or paying for) (anyone think i should try AC? i dunno about it...14 days free is convincing, though...) Check out the MUD I'm making!

Best free games out there are in my opinion, Rappelz as fantasy game and, Space Cowboy online for Sci-Fi.

Thanks Ashgraimthu I would say just play whatever intrigues you and holds your interest. You're going to feel at least a little in over your head at first with just about any MMO, so it might as well be one you can enjoy.

You might want to check it out since it's beginner friendly and the system actually rewards you for partying. You gain more experience per member in a party instead of gaining less but killing them faster like in other games. It also has a rather friendly community and was an enjoyable experience for me compared to most free MMO games.

Of course this is only 14 days, but it could let you see much. I would recommend you try the CoH/CoV free trial, 14 days...after the 14 days you won't be able to play unless you buy the game and then get a free month, but at least, these 14 days are well worth it. - "If I understand you well, you are telling me until next time. Thanks Ashgraimthu voyage century isn't that easy of a game to pick up. it's actually pretty difficult being that there's an awful lot that you need to do with absolutely no direction on how to do it, plus the translation of a lot of the text makes it very unclear. but... it's a good free game and i'm having a lot of fun in it. for now, if i were you i'd stick with some of the suggestions in above posts. ____________________________ TheCore
