Wow, that was quick. How long has this MMO been around? A year? --- |

Expect online petitions and having people in a year say "Remember Auto Assault? What a great game, they shouldn't have shut it down." |

Wow big news. I knew AA had low numbers and that hasn't changed since launch, but I expected the game to hang on for a couple more years. Well, I guess we can add AA to the likes of Earth and Beyond. Farewell. |

Woah, didn't see that coming :/ i really wanted to like AA, but it just didn't feel right when i played it. It's always sad to see a mmo go down imo. ------------------------------ |

an example (like swg) that you can't make huge changes and force your customers to relearn the game every two months instead of adding content. we warned them again and again..... |

It launch back in April 2006, i knew it was coming but not that fast. I played the game when it lauched but got bored real, real quick with it. Biggest complaint was the fact that we could'nt get out of the car. Try to do some social or roleplay as a car... |

I'd say 90% of the online gaming world seen this coming. And yes, I pulled that figure out of my ass, but I'm betting it's fairly accurate. |

Auto Assault deserves to be canceled. It played more like the arcade game "Spy Hunter" than as an MMO. Its ending demonstrates that poorly conceived MMO game concepts can die quick deaths and won't necessarily languish in the gaming backwaters for years with low populations. Its cancellation may even contribute to a redefinition of failure in the MMO market along with Dark and Light. |

That was so random. Though there may not be many, I'm sure the players are going to be very p'd off! Imagine having your MMO suddenly cancel |

What I want to know is why close it? Reduce the sub price, offer for free with ads, or at least offer the server code to the fan base so they can make their own server. Just letting a game die like that is wrong. |

I personally like this MMO, only reason why I did not play was because my computer could not handle it. ~Greatness~ MMORPG Blog |

I miss E&B sometimes and the music in AC2 so I'm sure I'll miss something about AA, just as soon as I figure out what that is. |

Damn, I had this game on my desk--and I was about to sell it on Ebay.
Hmm...
