I'm trying to comprehend the purpose of this post, but I am having a really hard time figuring it out. Perhaps you could, um... put in some detail to back your extremely broad statement? |

Eve would be so much better if you could actually land on the planets and walk around. And also remove the ability to fly straight through them for that matter. |

Actually you have it backwards, it gets funner with more play. Sorry that you lack the intelligence to play a harder than average game. Great job on giving it a 1 by the way, seeing as nearly no game in history deserves a 1. But hey, you can't teach a rat how to play the piccolo. - - - |

I wonder where Eve would be in the ratings without these 1 ratings and macro raters. |

Actually, EVE is a very nice game... seeing how it is harder to start off.. but you just need to run a few missions and get a few books... then your set for a while just training your skills. EVE-Mon is a great tool for the game, keeping track of your training times. Graphics are beautiful, explosions make your mouth water, and blowing other player ships up is even greater. This is a nice game, for the long run, and shouldn't ever be judged it or any other game by only playing it for the minimum of a week. After you get threw a week the game picks up big time, you find a big corp. to run with, and help them out they help you out with money and books... Raids, Corp. wars, and Bounty runs... give you a thrill that brings you back more and more times. |

Also why so much hate at players who want to walk around and explore planets? I admit I'm a noob but so far exploring space really doesn't seem that interesting ( Hey look my scanner found another dead space area. and look its another wave of pirates, just like the ones I fight in missions only I don't get any LP's) I hope I'm missing something and will keeping trying to find something a bit more interesting then the agent missions (which can get a bit dull when you get offered the same exact mission 3 times in a row sometimes) And yes I know PVP can be fun (I live in low sec ) but I don't play EVE just to PVP.

As to the first part: It's in planning and has been for some time. Perambulation (the ability to walk, talk and interact within the station environments) is coming with Rev III this winter. Walking on planets is a more long term goal that will eventually be added to the game in some form in the future. As to flying through the planets when in warp? If you go read some of the backstory and dev blogs you'll see why you can pass through objects while in warp. |

Originally posted by PvtCaboose I just restarted my old account practically 2 days ago. I lost my ship within the first hour of returning, attempting to retain all my old information back when I took the tutorial. Despite being blown to bits on a mission that was way over my head, the first words out of my mouth besides "Well...sh*t" were "Ah, back to the beauty!" I can definitely say that this MMO is not for everyone but certainly for me! I can read, do some work, practice my guitar, and who knows what else all while actually being INVOLVED in the game. I'm currently trying to sway some friends and co-workers to play it. Sorry you found this game to be disappointing but I would highly reccommend giving it a second try. |

Well after being with the game for quite a while I've had enough and waiting for a mobile avatars just isn't worth sending CCP any more cash. I just returned to the Biomass a 48, 45 and 36 Million SP characters to ensure I will never return to this game, no you can't have my stuff because it no longer exists. For those not familiar with the terms of use I deleted my characters on my three separate accounts. I cite broken promises by CCP as my main reason for quiting the game, that and they just don't seem to give a rip about their customers beyond how much money they can get out of them. For all the cya later types, you're the second biggest reason, you just aren't worth the effort. I'll wait for another Sci-Fi MMO without wasting my money on this one anymore. |

Originally posted by PvtCabooseIts not for everyone. The main draw of eve, is that it has limitless possibilities. However, the draw back is... there are limitless possibilities. Many people get over whelmed when they see no strict forms of guidance.
Another thing that really really makes eve shine is its Corporations. Get in a good one, and you will get shown the ropes, and enjoy the game much more. |
