Vangaurd is not that bad of a game SoE is fixing and has fixed alot of the problems with game. I am 3 weeks into the game and it is ten times better than wow. Heck, at least it is a challenge with games like wow you pretty much get in the game and you've won. Besides that why discourage others from games you don't like? This is a really good game if you like in depth gameplay. If you like games like wow then yea don't bother....

Actually, another good idea by SOE, first we had the new player island, now the new player guide. Some folks might have been put off from trying the game because it was for the 'experienced' player..... these moves can only help to appeal to a new audience (one that hasn't already given up on the game.

It's sad how sloppily put-together it looks. Hopefully it's not an indication of SOE's level of commitment to project Vanguard...

I play Vanguard, EQ 2 and just bought SWG today. I think Vanguard is a great game. I was a longtime EQ 1 player, but I also played DAoC and WoW for about a year. SOE is really doing a lot to improve this fascinating game. It is the only MMO on the market with a world of its vastness and diversity. I think it is worth playing, others might now.

Is Sony's internal staff going to be the ones making new quests and storylines? Or will they contract with a new 3rd party developer to keep growing the gameworld content? (I assume it was Brad's team who was doing it before they got canned) |
