Official OB date has been announced by Jill yesterday, OB should be up and running on July 30th no later. Read the full post at http://phpbb.acclaim.com/2moons/viewtopic.php?t=10302 so another 2 months to wait and we'll be playing it...

Yeah the latest post reminds me the one from 10th of april saying that OB will start within 30 days (IOW the 10th of may) ... so lets wait 60 days to have another excuse and another delay ....seems that 2mmons is another vaporware ....

1. Thousands of people have played Closed Beta, so its clearly not vapourware. 2. I'd rather a games company took their time to get it right instead of rushing out a bug ridden client. Too many companies just rush out half built games, and its good to see someone actually working on something for a change! |

To sum up :

Miyoshi, If you dont like the game, dont like the company, and dont think it will ever be out, why oh why are you here spreading rumors and dissent amoungst the forums? I for one would much prefer a company to make a good game instead of a rushed game. Plus, Openbeta is not your personal god given right. Its a method of the company testing their product prior to release. They dont have to do it, but they know it will make the final game stronger. So what if they want to make sure the coin system works? Would you rather they released something that didnt work, and when you spent your $10 it vanished with no trace? I sure wouldnt! Instead of bashing them for trying to make it a painfree and fun experience, support them and give them the time to make it the best they can. It wont be much longer and I'm sure a few weeks wait wont kill you.

First this is a forum , so it's an open place to put our opinion and feelings. If you just want to hear that acclaim is a wonderful company that always keep their promise then go to acclaim's forum. I personnaly participated in many close/open beta like hero online , iSro , Cabal Eu , 9dragons (etc...) , and participating in some others (metin2 e.g) Now even a greedy company like joymax didn't implement item mall in open beta stage , i'm ok with the fact that an item mall must be secure BUT , at this time this isn't the main problem , they could put OB on line and implement the item mall in the gold version. Why am i a bit sarcastic with acclaim and 2moons ? Well i registered an account for 2moons in august 2006 , when i saw no evolution i just left and forgot it (no mail , no update...) . Then a friend had a CB key and invite me , so i registered a new account in february , too bad i didn't got a key ... At the end of CB i was waiting and reading annoucement from acclaim , first it was planned in april then delayed , and delayed again , and again . Then they at last called the korean devs to help after .... 4 month ! This "stay tuned" policy is really irritating because , first the CB client was totally different than the one planned for OB and gold ; secondely , instead of this "stay tuned" policy they should say "ok guys thanks for the info provided , now we need several monthes to bring it back" instead of thoses constant lieing , it should be more professional... So now what could we expect from a company that always try to find excuses for their incompetence and lie ? What will happen with game's update ? What about the future communication with the game's community ? What about the customer service ? If acclaim keeps this kind of behavior , well i think it's gonna be worst than iSro... Edit: i forgot to mention that they can't even update their website homepage ! How pro is that ?

And how do i know that ? Well i just read the news and annoucements from DP and acclaim since july 2006 ....

you get what you pay for and from what my friends who've played it tell me (from the korean server mind you) its a pretty kick ass game so i wouldnt complain when you compare it to other f2p games out now. hell look at rf online being run into the ground by codemasters with lack of content, updates, support and the whole 9 and ppl PAY for it. honestly, what mmo isnt delayed these days? personally i'd rather play a complete game thats delayed than a game that goes live far too soon and dies because of it |

From what I picked up, it wasn't that they called the Korean Devs for anything, they have the code. IE they are the ones doing the actual coding. Acclaim probably wont do much besides localize the game implement the coin system, and then add updates as they are available. The issue I see is that the actual server code is coming straight from Korea, hence the Korean team insisting on higher security measures, and new server, etc, before transfering the code over. And frankly, it doesn't have anything to do with being greedy. Acclaim doesn't owe you crap. While I'm sure they want everyone to enjoy this game and therefore use the item shop, they aren't putting the game out for no reason. They want to make money, like any other company. Hence the focus on the Coins issue, and frankly I don't blame them for that. They want to get the game up as soon as they can, and I'm sure they will as soon as they can. If that is not good enough for you, go play another MMO. Http://almostheroesgaming.blogspot.com - Your favorite Blog for Free 2 Play MMO's .... Coming Soon! |

Acclaim clearly missed the point by failing in adapting an existing game, delay , more delay and again more delay to bring us a game that is already running smoothly in others countries ! Teasing us ( the customers ) and constantly trying to find excuses isn't the good policy as there are a lot of mmorpgs actually on the market . So as i said , instead of trying to implement first an item mall to bring the game on , the should put the game on and then , when the item mall is secured enough, implement it in game .This kind of behavior would actually bring more ppl in and open it to a wider community (IOW , more potential customers ...). That denote a really bad commercial policy in addition to a bad dev one .... So as DP said , they are "new kids on the block" in the mmorpg's market and they actually porved us that they are clearly incompetent

It is stil clearly obvious that you havent really read all that was said about this, have you? Korea hasn't cleared them to even get the code, how can they implement something they dont even have? Korea had some issues about security and server stability and said, " Get this stuff fixed and we will get you the code". So when Acclaim hasn't coded the " Original game that is running in other countries", how do you expect them to launch OB on a game whos code they dont even have?
