After playing CoH and CoV for years i cant believe that this game is from the same company. its simply said, horrible.

WASD+ (Jump?) control is slow and has absolute no fun factor. Wheres the JUMP ??

Point and Click, means to me = Dead Game, no feeling for my Toon at all.

The grafics look like games from 1996, its reacting slow, static no dynamics.

NCSoft you gave me the feeling of beeing warped back to 1996 with this game.

Item Mall system, free to play but need to pay inside game for things like bigger inventory, weapons etc etc. Stupid greedy new system that leeches out the last penny from some poor addicted people.

Please dont release this game or project or whatever it is, its not worth a Cent.

i was in the beta to ... it was like ok for 1-2 hours then i started noticing it wasnt actually any fun because they only got 2 characters to chose from... some fat guy and a girl... omg.... it's basicly a waste of time but if you like these type of games then play it... il rather play Flyff, 9Dragons, and some more instead of this... it is a good time killer if you are bored but unless... no F***ing chance

You're a complete troll that has no idea what you're talking about.  Go back under your bridge... I'm also  fairly certain you weren't a real beta tester.   You probably got in on an invite in the last month or two.  Regarding your flawed points:

Jump - why is it necessary?  There's nothing in the game that would need it.

Point-and-click - The game isn't only point-and-click.  You choose between WASD and/or P-A-C AND you have mouselook.  That's pretty comprehensive, especially when compared to other f2p games like Rappelz and 9Dragons, which only offer one type of control

Graphics - I call shenanigans on this one.   The only graphical MMOs in 1996 were AOL's Neverwinter Nights and 3DO's Meridian 59.  The graphics in DR are intentionally cartoony - the game's premise is humor and satire, not realism.

Item Mall System - doesn't exist.  Item malls let you purchase individual items.  This game let's you subscribe for a very low monthly fee to have access to ALL of the better items.  Regarding leeching from addicted people, they didn't program the game for free, they need to make money.  How else should they do so?

Also, it's not a Korean point-and-click item mall game.  It's American, developed by NCSoft North America in Austin, Texas.

The Point and Click is the only way to control it somehow well.

The W A S D control sucks, its slow and it doesnt give a good feeling when using it.

CoH and CoV were not developed by NCSoft.  They were developed by Cryptic Studio's and published by NCSoft.

Dungeon Runners wasnt meant to be a "Top of the Line" MMO release. Its more like...Puzzle Pirates. You play for free, or, if you want access to the upper end items and stuff, you pay a fee of like 5 bucks a month. How can you even TRY to compare that to a full out subscription-only A grade MMO like COH/COV, WOW or whatever?

Come on man, get a grip. Its a simple game for people with no time for a full MMO and, for what its designed to be, its a pretty cool little game.

First of all, you dont know much for someone claiming to be a beta tester.

DR's is 5$

thats very cheap for someone poor and addicted as you put it.

and the reason behind the grafix is simple, anyone with a low-end computer can play it.


and no the system is not slow, they just patched it, but you wouldnt know that becaus you only spent what, 2 hours in-game and then started crying becaus it was not up to your standards.

hmm.  2 characters...which if you honestly knew the game, then you would know that you pick a gender and then because the game is a classless unrestricted interface, your man or woman can be built ANY WAY YOU WANT.  You have no restrictions as to who can or can't wear armor, or weild certain weapons, or only use certain skills.  You can make your character without limits.  Your whine about only 2 characters was a "Homer Simpson" - doh - on your part.

There is no change in the size of your inventory whether you are a paying member or a free member.  There is no item mall to buy from.  There are also NO personal shops to crowd and lag out the town and dungeon lobbies like in all the other online games for fantasy.

The game was made silly looking and cartoony on purpose.  NPC's tell you to get bent, or they yell at you because you waste too much time coming back to them to buy pots.  The names of items are made to make you laugh such as items like "Infectious skin of the bunny" and dang near any slapstick title you can come up with yourself.  This game was made for people who are sick of little children with foul mouths who only want to come in and ruin online games.  Basically we found a game that people like you (kid with a big mouth that only bull**** comes out of) and the Turks can't hack, cheat, or bot in.

This is one game the adults love because
1.   You can't kill steal
2.   You can't steal people's loot
3.   You can't lure mobs away from people trying to level
4.   You can go to town without having to fight through hundreds of afk personal shops
5.   Abusive players are stopped and banned faster than most other games
6.   The Devs AND Gms all jump into the game and play or chat with us
7.   You can't gank players, pk slaughter players, or abuse any other pvp aspects within the game
8.   You can reset your stats at any time you feel like, you're never stuck with the build you first created
9.   There is never ending content that is always having new ideas implemented into the game so you never know what to expect
10.  The game is more stable than KOL, Khan, Silkroads, Rappelz, Flyff, and many others.  When they give ETA on downtime...they are very accurate

You didn't even play beta axyrn.  Do you even realize WHEN beta phase was for this game?  It's limited release, by invite only, and if that means we can keep jerks like you out of the game or make you not enjoy the game, then so be it.  The game is better without you around anyways.  All you did was whine and b**ch in chat from the moment you walked into Townston.

aight man, let's put it the easy way. Damn you for saying some of that crap you did. THIS IS and I mean IS Guild Wars with a WoW graphics and a Gauntlet battle system plus some added humor for fun!

Guild Wars similarities:

- towns and villages used as hubs for players to meet, trade and get quests

- single-player RPing with option to party up for extra fun and help

World of Warcraft similarities:

- graphics have the same fun, cartoony look that was the one and only thing that put WoW ove games like Guild Wars and Lineage and such

Gauntlet similarities:

- single-player dungeon hack and slash with option to buddy up

- same button-mashing game made MMO

Differences from all:

- humourous

- free of @$$holes like you

I admittedly only played this game in beta for maybe 4-5 hours.  However, it wasnt becuase I thought the game was complete crap, just decided to see if they implemented anything new for the actual release of the game.  I think the only problem with the graphics I had was the character models just seemed very awkward, and since alot of people have compared it to WoW's graphics, I'd just say that I  think that it's more compareable to Darkstone, the old ps1 and PC game that came out in like 2001 something like that.  I'm not saying that the graphics are horribly poor for a free game it wasnt too bad.  It seemed to me, to be somewhat like Diablo2 mixed with guild wars.  Maybe not the 'fun' factor of diablo 2 becuase of a lack of classes (the game seemed to be totally based on a stat system that you put points into say 'stamina' or whatever and build your own class.)  Thats not bad, but I think that if they would have put a class system in there, and new character models this would be one of the better games coming out this year including those that are p2p.    Anyways thats my two cents.

i think if someone releases a Pac Man like MMO with the possibility to improve your Pac Mans AGI;STR;WIS;STA HP/MANA then you fools would become the 1st fanboys for it.

get a job guys, earn some money and play a real game. not a game with crappy grafics and terrible controls.

I promise you kids that this game wont get far. You few kids wont make it a big success :)

DR is not the greatest. but for what you pay and what you get its fine.

sure the controls are confusing and at points suck. but so do many other online games that have crappy controls. jumping is only usefull if there are places to jump to... most people who want jump keys want to use some vertical exploit with ranged classes... lol

for 5 usd you get a bank and special gear thats it.. hardly worth it if you ask me when you get just as well or better gear for free :/

 

the grapics are fine. if your going to whine about graphics go whine about WoW and other really lame looking games lol

 

music was the only downer for me i found it repetitive and boring :/  but other then that its fine for a free/paid sub game.. atleast its not charging 10 usdper month for it so why whine about it...

wish the mobs had more of a challange.. at lv 20 the main area is weak even at lv 10 you can clear a whole floor by your self so it defeats the purpose of teaming up

                            I tested this game from day 1 was 1 of 1st hundred in it and tested for a very long time .. got to lvl 50 warrior twice.. Voiced concerns to the devs on the problems with this game and there still there.. This game takes 0 skill i was able to solo there group dungeon The Horriffic Dungeon .. Naked with just a weapon and use no skills ..what are skills for if ya dont need them and all the Uber Rainbow gear really serves no purpose ..but to say look what i got .. but in the end really makes no difference...

Wow, just Wow, I think I played this game for a day or two at most. But for the kind of game it is you cant expect p2p gameplay and grafics........for pete's sake its FREE if you dont want to pay for a sub then dont pay.

People like this guy really give me a chuckle when they get all bent out of shape over a video game (and a free on at that). I consider myself an avid gamer, if i'm not at work, taking care of kids, or asleep your usually gonna find me sitting in front of my computer playing one game or another. Now I get a little irritated at some things but when I do, I just avoid the irritation al together. coming to a game forum such as this and posting a rant of this nature doesn't do anyone any good. though admittedly I bet the OP feels better about himself.

At least posts like this are good for a laugh if nothing else!!!!

Hey i beta tested this game and actually liked it...and i dont like alot of games. To the OP, dude get a grip, a life, or a friend or whatever. Dont talk crap about a game you know nothing about. 1)  You did not receive a beta invite.  You received an invite to the limited release since you were already a customer.  You were never in beta.  It ended in November 2006. 

2)  The game is literally being developed by a total of 9 people.  That's right, 9.  For a free game with inherited code and a small staff, its' great!

3)  All of your arguments are ridiculous and have no factual merit.  Your only other tactic, thus far, is to insult the players that do like the game.

4)  The game is released.  It entered limited release in December 2006 and public release today...
