Are the expansions required to play EQ2? I understand that I can pick up a copy of EQ2 and start gaming, but will I be missing out on features from the expansions? I'm not really sure if I should buy EQ2 aswell as all the expansions and adventure packs or wait and slowly buy the expansions + adventure packs as I progress. |

You can buy echoes of faydwer (the latest expansion) for 30 or 40 bucks at your local best buy or eb games. This comes with all of the expansions and the original game. Do it.
Although you cannot do this with the digital download. THen you will only get EoF.

I suppose the achievement system is the biggest feature that you would need the expansion packs for. Othwewisem yeah you could just pick up the original EQ2 and start playing from there. But seriously, its like 40 bucks to buy the latest expansion EoF which comes complete with EQ2 and the 3 expansions all in one box. (retail purchase only not download) |

They aren't required but why not buy the boxed set and get them all at once for a total of $40?
My website is closed temporarily. Hopefully it will only be a short delay. |
