The 9Dragons beta key I won was on the third round of drawings because that many people didn't confirm their prize. So I've won a LotR beta key, a 9Dragons beta key, and yes, the last computer give away. To be honest, until it actually arrives at my home, I still won't believe it.

I enter these contests and never win. Makes me think it is all rigged. Employee: Hey, I could use a new PC. Boss: Hmm, no room in the budget. Go back to your TI86. Employee: I am using this old thing and Joe just got a new rig. Boss: Joe was smart enough to convince that company to give us a computer. Employee: Hey, How about we have those fools over at ibuypower have another "contest". Boss: Hrmph, think they will fall for it twice? Employee: What do you know, they will give us another one. Boss: I wonder how many free PCs we can get from them.

I won a beta key towards the end of last year but lost out on it because I didn't respond in 24 hours. Can't live on the PC 24x7, especially when I was out of state visiting my parents as I was during that contest. Was only checking my mail once every couple of days.

Well, I'll be honest, alot of folks say they really need to win this comp and all you really need to do is check the site a few times a day. I mean 2 minutes before you go to work, 2 minutes when you get home, and 2 minutes before you go to bed is only 6 minutes from the day. It may not increase your chances of winning that much, but hey, you don't know until you try. That's how I won. I may be disabled, but I still run a business and have a kid to take care of, so it's not like I'm sitting on this site posting all day. If you don't try, or log in every day, how are you supposed to win?

Personally if there was more industry and community conversation rather than, "I have no money but I'm OWED entertainment" posts there might be more to post on.
