Some really nice shots here. I very much doubt that my two year old system would run this game very well though - and it isn't too bad 1.8ghz amd 64, 2gb dual channel DDR 3000 - but my graphics card would let me down - nvidia 7300 gt.

Bloody nice looking game though - I like the tree models and the textures look pretty sharp and well bump-mapped and the buildings and stonework looks nice too. I run LOTRO on very, very nearly max settings at about 50fps and I'm loving the artwork, design and style of that game, but the general terrain and building textures don't look quite as good as vanguard by the looks of things, also some of the models - like the trees, look better in vanguard too Not too sure about the artwork and zone design - it's hard to judge from looking at the few screenies here and in other threads - but I see both games trying to that living, breathing world feel.

I'm watching how things go with Vanguard, but at the moment I'm having a lot of fun playing and exploring LOTRO - it'd take a lot to peel me away from that game right now. Am I right in thinking that Vanguard is made by the original team from Verant Interactive of EQ fame? Brad McQuaid rings a distant bell, didn't he design the FV RP server setup for EQ?

Anyway... hope you're all having fun with VG, and I hope that the devs pull their bloody fingers out and get it sorted, fixed and running stable for you. Been hearing a lot of negativity about this game, but I know how fickle the MMO community is these days. I might be a big fan of LOTRO right now, but that doesn't mean I'm not interested in other titles too, or that I feel the need to pointlessly bash and lie about other games because it's not what I enjoy, other than stating my opinion on them (which I try and back up with valid examples).

I hope you get many more players to help fill up that rich world of your's. Some of the screenies here really did pique my interest quite a bit, but I guess it's now down to the developers to deliver what they originally promised.

Awesome armor on your main, Healz. I'm sorry but that armor is the most solid and kewl looking from any game I've seen ever. I'm a full on armor and weapons freak btw which is why I just couldn't get into CoX.

Hehe thanks, well with the fastforward trick i placed on the vids  its almost 50 FPS  if i would play it normal speed its about 22/27FPS inside Khal. And thanks btw my system is AMD x2 4400+, 7900GT, 4gb ram, xfi-e pro,12mbit con. For a casual gamer its a pretty awesome machine, but for a hardcore player i feel its somewhat mid-range, but gonna wait a few months before upgrading to a 8series and up the cpu, but for now pretty satisfied with my system, sure wished i could play Vanguard max settings afcourse but time will heal that like it did for most high system demanding games.

Also i can't figure out why fraps is eating about 15/20 fps. If anyone knows a recording program that doesn't eat that much fps i be happy to hear about it. Like to show afcourse movie with CTRL+P to show fps but already know that when people see it in my fraps movies they will respond with what they see and that mostly about 20/28 fps outside when i turn on fraps compared to the 40/50 i get without fraps outside. Keep in mind i do not temper with ini.flies as doing so might currupt things for future patches, never been a fan of tempering with game files. I thought it was you (thanks btw if so ) that suggested a UI but i had to temper in my ini.files which made me not change the UI .

Another thing i have noticed is to have a retail version of Windows compared to a friend of mine who has a illagal version and i also have one at my gf's computer but notice more games and programs sometimes have problems where i don't.

But then again all this might  just be luck on my part. Well its fun and thats what counts.
