We need all the help we can get. And we want you to be able to try this game out with us. The petition states that you will be a beta tester when they request it. It also states that we suggest that if CD does come back at full force, that the game will be F2P with an item mall/premium membership options...
Seriously now, beta testing a F2P game that is worth your time and has a balanced item mall. Takes 2 minutes of your time. We will not be satisfied until we get at least one person from this site to sign the petition. We will continue to post here, and not leave you alone until you realize what your missing out on. ~Rhiannon |

It is day 4 of this petition, things are going alright, but not the best that they can, We need more signatures and more people to get involved. If you would be interested in beta testing a game, please sign. Even people who just stumble across this topic, please do not just look and do nothing about it. We need your help, each and every signature makes us happy, brings us closer to our goal of bringing back this game. I still haven't found a game that is as good as Carpe Diem. Visually maybe not, but the story and community were amazing.
Here is a little about the game, you might find will persuade you to get involved with this project: Three character slots, and three different races. Classes were tied to races, but you had a choice in each of them. Humans could become warriors or archers. Feys could become Healers or Flamesprites. Dragonbloods had the most classes. Dark Assassins, Soulhunters, Dark Lords, Necromancers, Bloodblades and Monks of Ithalamar. The game indeed had experience and levels. Stats were manually assigned, so you had freedom to create your own 'build', and many different builds had their advantages in different combat situations. Skill points were also manually assigned, and you chose which skills to learn and increase. Some higher level skills required you first to find a special scroll in order to learn them. The exp grind was generic; but quite fast and painless. Many quests were available with multiple repeats to offer an incentive to go out and kill. Unique 'set' items could drop from monsters, which gave magical boosts beyond the regular equipment that the NPCs sold. Items could be upgraded, and you needed multiple materials in order to do so. Your strength could also be boosted using Stones, and Stones could also be upgraded, but they were time-limited to several days (depending on their level) and you had to carry them around with you, which took up valuable inventory space. This was the trade-off you accepted for having more power. There was a PVP arena, and the GMs held weekly tournaments and events there for both solo players and guilds to participate. Prizes for contests and events such as this were sent via an emailled code, which could then be input into the game to claim the prize items, which were often things that could not be found in the game itself. Daily events were done to simulate the ongoing battle with the Evoker, Uzziel. Uzziel would attack random towns, kidnap players (and GMs), or cause important certain areas to be blocked with gates and monsters. It was up to the players to follow the clues and beat Uzziel back, often receiving the ever controversial 'free-for-all' prize-dropping mobs at the end of the fight. Wink Guilds were an important part of the game, and there were 4 main dungeons which any guild could fight for and control. Dungeons contained unique monsters that dropped unique gears, gems and scrolls. If a guild controlled all 4 dungeons, they could even challenge Uzziel himself! One guild managed this before the game closed - the HandofDavid regiment - but they failed to defeat the Evoker (quite painfully failed, infact). xD A great thing about this game was the possession system. Feys and certain Dragonbloods could possess humans and other dragonbloods, joining together to become a single fighting unit. The Human/Dragonblood being possessed controlled movement, and their possesser could cast spells and buffs and heals from the safety of their shoulder. The only way the possesser could die was if the possessee was killed. Another unique feature was mounted combat. Everyone could get a mount at level 10, and there were multiple 'levels' of mount to find - Brown horses and Brown bears at first, then Black horses and Black bears, and finally White horses and Polar bears. Dragonbloods only had White minotaurs at the time. Mounts leveled as long as the character fought while riding them, and their stats contributed to their rider's stats. Mounts could even learn their own skills! Horses could stomp the ground to stun nearby enemies, and bears could throw rocks for an extra attack. Eventually you could evolve your mount into it's greater incarnation, either Unicorns, Great Bears, or Horned Minotaurs. And mounts could be coloured using dyes, as well as equipped with different saddles and bridles with various stats. Phew. But that's not all. When you hit level 90, you could choose your advanced class. That was always fun - the advanced classes had some awesome skills. Dragonbloods didn't have advanced classes, however, seemingly a trade-off for having so many regular classes to begin with. Did I mention there was a horse racing track? Smile There are just so many things about this game that made it stand out. It's true that it did take a little getting used to - the interface/controls COULD be a bit more solid - but that was such a small hurdle to get over. Once I started playing, that was it. I was hooked for life. It was something more than just the features it offered. ~Chica Hopefully that will make you want to try the game out. Ty for those who have signed the petition already, your support is amazing and we cannot thank you enough. ~Rhiannon |

Each day we get less and less signatures. Were on day 5 now, our goal for today is to get at least 15 signatures. Were not asking for much at all, only your support. Thanks to those who signed up and support our efforts, as well as found an interest in CD. Were not giving up, and each day I will be posting here on our progress.
Keep them coming! ~Rhiannon |

/Signed. Come on guys, any as an MMORPG community we should be supporting MMORPGS no matter what we think of the one in particular. Carpe Diem was a fun game, i know i enjoyed it. Lets give this our support, its a great shame to see any MMO die. =] I would like to thank everyone that has participated and is bringing this project a step closer to being successful. We couldn't have done it without you guys, everyones signature on that petition is important. For everyone, whatever reasons that made you go forth and decide to put your signature there I give you my utmost respects.
One major event that occurred while playing CD was my wedding. It was on my birthday and one of the GM's named Chica held the event for us :) It was in the Tourny arena, which was pretty sweet. To make it even more different :P It was the first Lesbian wedding in Carpe Diem's history, and the last event to take place. The next day Carpe Diem died. What was so special about this event was the GM's participation and leniency to us. Generally thinking they have always been cool like that. They wanted to make sure we had as much fun as possible in game, and they did a fantastic job :) For example, the Gm's would be present at almost every event & every event was never identically the same. So you never knew what to expect! A tourny event just ended and Chica started setting up props everywhere to make it identifiably unique. She put gates outside of the stairway so nobody outside of the wedding party could get in. She had us ported one by one into the center stage :] Both Hidden and KnightRyders (clans) were joined symbolically. She even had the honer of killing us :P What was so awesome about all of this is Chica and I were sending messages back an forth through e-mail of how I wanted the event to be like. I was even allowed to make my own vows :) Here are some screenies that hardly capture the moment, but you will get the idea: (The rainbow flag stand is actually a Weapon Of Legends icon, once you get to the end of the dungeon you have to constantly att that thing with all your clans might in hopes that it dissipates. People were going crazy because this was one of the WoL's that everybody wanted :P Also, after the Wedding was held, Chica let us pick out what color mounts we wanted which was very cool because it was easily distinguished amongst all over the other mounts in CD. My mount is Victorious and Sav's is Zeplin.) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here is 2 pics of Bori & Dour's Wedding I captured :) ![]() ![]() Here is a picture I was in in the skimpy but popular Santa costumes :P They were given away for x-mas for doing scavenger hunts or winning on the race track :P & trivia! ![]() ![]() ^^Thats Uzziel the big bad guy :P^^ |

Only short of 6 to making the 200 mark =] We need 1,000+ so anything helps. The petition now states that you are not obliged to continue involvement after you sign, if you wish so. Meaning, you do not need to be involved in the game at all unless you want to. You are just signing to revive Carpe Diem. You don't even have to leave your email. Just your name signed will do. It is that simple...So lets get moving and make this project worth all the hassle :)

After one week were 1 short of 200! I will say this time and time again, we need your help...& than some. This will be tedious and irritating to us all because it is draining and seriously testing our patience. Yet I will not give up on the community and those who would like to see this game come back. I don't think any of us involved will let that happen.
If this project in the end is just a flop, than at least we tried. This is our last resort and there is nothing else we can do. No other options...nothing. I just hope we can get through this without drama in the end if things do fail. I do not want everyone to be dissapointed, and I kind of feel at this point that I am intune with wishful thinking prior to reality. I hate thinking negatively but there is still that little hope left that keeps us going on, seeing this project move onto the next day. I really do not know how to express how thankful I am to you all. This whole experience is bringing the community closer together, and I only have you, the supporters to thank for that. ~Rhiannon |
