This thread made me realize that if any game company releases a demo or a trial for a game they are scared of competition or the game is on its last legs

I love it, how in the world did you not know that Blizzard is owned by Vivendi and double post it no less. Making statements like that shows you that you to lazy to use any of the search engines on the net to back up your statements. The people at Blizzard are realists. If the trial can hook some people who left, then that is more money in their coffers. Not costing them anything to do this except for the time it took some programmers to put together the trial code. Look at Eve, almost all new players start on trials and they are doing quite well with that model, immitating success is not a bad idea. |

Remember that you can't progress past level 60 until you buy a working BC key. So all this trial gives you is a peek to the first few instances/quests and possible areas if you're bold enough to evade all the high level creatures.
