Originally posted by AcephaliaNo according to the OP and a few others this 1 server is doing better. Why? Because it was one of the heavier populated servers so all the people on the low pop servers are leaving for it is what I am guessing. Start asking those players you see if they rerolled from another server. I am guessing that is what is happening in most cases. Happened in EQ2 before the server merges, a lot of people on the low pop servers started going over to AB because it had a high population.

Originally posted by StoneysilencThat makes sense Stoney, I played EQII on AB from release until last fall, and watched as the population declined after release then picked back up as people migrated over to AB. For this game probably the best thing for the game would be to do a server merge but I doubt if certain peoples egos could handle that if ya know what I mean. Underpopulated servers, long travel times, and a group oriented design do not go well together. |

Neither invis, horse or death occur for me when I chunk. My illusions do drop though. Also 1-2 secs of freeze when changing chunks is WAY different than a couple of mins zoning. If your mind cannot understand the difference, its beyond me to explain. And about my 'am I on drugs ' quote lets go back to the sentence and read it together. (Something I would do to any 6 year old that has trouble reading.) As far as how many people play I have no clue . The beggining of the sentence impies I dont really know how many people actually play the game. Last official word last month. This part of the sentence implies that sometime in march someone from Sigil made a comment about sales and subscriber numbers. 200000+ sales and a little less than that subscribers.Thats in my recolection is what they said. I hope this clears things up for you mate. For further help talk to your teacher. |

Originally posted by dimmit77You mean you've misconstrued your numbers. Sigil has yet to give out any active subscriber numbers. Only a number of "registered" users. All you know is that they've apparently sold over 200,000 boxes |

Originally posted by Stoneysilenc Back when EQ2 was releasead you could go do something else while a zone was loading. Especially if you didnt have a top performance pc. Nowdays after 2 years of optimazation and advance in computer technology is much better. Still tnowhere near (2-5) secs you claim. Even if you do have a comp that will load you fast, dont tell me that you dont have to wait for other people while zoning for a raid. Its bio time for us. Dont have time now, will explain to you later the difference between chunking and zoning ,their cons and pros of how I see them. But dont give me chunking as game breaking characteristic and immersion killer, when you play games with zoning which take 10 times as much time to load you from one area to the other. In my opinion its just plain stupid. |

"server overpopulation" LOL :) propably a dev trying to make some marketing for vanguard saga of vanbois... since lord of the rings online pre-order started last week and since its official release is in a few days there is no reason to play vanguard anymore and I highly doubt that vanguard has a overpopulation problem :) lord of the rings is far better than vanguard and runs 10.000 times more stable, so please stop making commerical for dark and light's brother, since we are no idiots.. SOE and NGE-Star Wars Galalaxies: |

I agree, even on the SOE forum people are asking for a server merge since the LOTR preorder came out. And to be honest it's 2007 now, customers don't have to put up with hardcore grinding and bad performance anymore to play a mmo, that type of gameplay died with the age of Anarchy Online. |
