Don't try and play on the minimum requirements with 512 Mb ram and a 64Mb graphiccard.
When will gamecompanies be honest and list the minimum requirements so it fits a machine that can play the game at 25 FPS at all times. You need atleast 1 GB ram and you will love 2Gb unless you want to lag quite a bit in crowded areas such as breetown or ettenmoor battleground. Play it with Turbines minimum requirements and you are in for a very laggy experience. ___________________________________________

Yeah without a good graphics card, you might as well go play a free asian point click MMO. Memory is key also, unless you want a 20 minute loading screen.

I'm running LOTRO just fine on the following spec: AMD 64 Venice 3000 (1.8GHz) Because of my (yet to be updated) crappy graphics, I'm running the game on medium settings, with high textures. I had to turn the "graphics post processing" option off to improve the frame rate in the game, but after that it ran just fine. I'm in the UK and running the beta on US servers, so I get a little juddering lag at times when travelling around in the game, but it's hardly noticable. I'm pretty surprised how well this runs, considering how badly my online graphics card handles other games. Of course, the 2GB RAM might have something to do with that. Hope this helps. |
