I guess that is what happens when you make a good game that a lot of people might like. Games I've played/tried out:WAR, LOTRO, Tabula Rasa, AoC, EQ1, EQ2, WoW, Vangaurd, FFXI, D&DO, Lineage 2, Saga Of Ryzom, EvE Online, DAoC, Guild Wars,Star Wars Galaxies, Hell Gate London, Auto Assault, Grando Espada ( AKA SoTNW ), Archlord, CoV/H, Star Trek Online, APB, Champions Online, FFXIV, Rift Online, GW2. Game(s) I Am Currently Playing: GW2 (+LoL and BF3)

OOR, its what happens when your too lazy to develop a universal log on system because you want people to waste time making characters across multiple servers. Its not even a hard thing to program.

Hate to burst your boubble boys, but the queues are part of beta testing They announced few days ago that they will randomly put people in queues to test the queue system. I guess they removed the notice because they also wanted to see how pissed people will get, aswell... They're testing the system, folks, and also trying to get a gauge of how popular it is going to be. Blizzard wasn't exactly "prepared" when WoW was released either, and I think Turbine's plan is to work out these kinks now, during the beta (by making it wide-open), and have a very smooth launch -- so that the game works smoothly once you are actually paying for it! You remember that, right? I dont think they are going to open a ton of servers when its still in beta. When the game is "released" more servers will be open, I think.

Its not even a hard thing to program. wrong. It isn't wrong. To make a universal login, instead of using the login-server to store just account info then forward to the server block. You use it to also save character data that is referenced then forwarded to the server a person is playing on. Then when the player logs out, the character data is forwarded back to the login server for saving. They just want the easy playtime increaser of keeping characters on 1 server so people have to remake if they wanna switch.
